Possible new top tier SPAA for Britain - the Australian NASAMS

Hey there I just stumbled across a twitter post of the Australian Army showing off one of their AA systems. Given the current addition of the US CLAWS, this particular vehicle looks quite fitting as it’s also armed with AIM-9X and AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles. The Radar vehicle would look similar to the US HUMVEE. Unlike the US vehicle the radar is not towed on a trailer, rather fitted into the bed of a 4x4 Thales Hawkei.
Since the British techtree already includs vehicles of the commonwealth nations and the current top tier SPAA is Canadian, I think this would be a good addition.

It would obviously work as a multi-platform vechicle consisting out of the Hawkei-NASAMS HMS that will get spawned by either the Hawkei-EOIR vehcile, fitted with a multi-spectral targeting system - basically just an optical sensor array, or more fitting for the current environment in War Thunder the Hawkei-CEATAC which is a vehicle mounted Active Electronic Scanning Array radar system.

Well it’s a different chassis so sure

nevermind, somehow missunderstood that comment lol

They should get their own systems like the CAMM, instead of stuff that has nothing to do with Britain

Yep.

There’s a perfectly good SPAA just waiting.

Land ceptor with CAMM-ER.

There is no need to add a different nations system.

I’m not familiar with AA systems - I just briefly looked it up - but this seems like it would perform like the IRIS-T SLM ingame. I don’t consider this a good thing. Granted, I haven’t unlocked the IRIS-T yet, but encountered it often enough to tell that it’s exactly what I expected it to be: A big, clumsy RP-Pinata. Small unguided rockets have no problem splash-killing it even from a distance (launching 10 S13 rockets from the helipad into the enemy spawn, get s few kills and you’re good to go to put the Vikhrs to use).
I’d much rather have a small, nimble and at least a little armored car.

And why not add both? Some tech trees also have several SPAAs of the same BR foldered together and there are already enough vehicles of nations in tech trees with much less ties (Romania in the Italian tech tree) than Britain and Australia, I mean it can’t get better than these two.

Should be added, yea. Alongside sky sabre.

Need more Australian bits of kit in the pommie tree.

would have preferred an aussie abrams but yea, not opposed to getting the NASAMS

Would also have preferred it. Was only spitting for 8 months after their abysmal decision regarding our abrams.
