Possible Kh-59 capable aircraft

With the recent update we saw a few weapons added to the files two of which were the Kh-59MK (anti-shipping) and the Kh-59M (air to ground).

Kh-59 Stats

Kh-59M:

  • Baseline model with TV guidance, requiring
    APK-9 datalink pod.
  • Range: ~115-150 km.
  • Primarily used for stationary ground targets (e.g., bunkers, infrastructure).

Kh-59MK:

  • Upgraded version with extended range (~285 km).
  • Active radar seeker for anti-ship roles or improved TV/electro-optical guidance for land targets.
  • Enhanced warhead options (e.g., penetrating or cluster).

MiG-27M/K (with APK-9 datalink pod)

Some Chinese aircraft like the JH-7 can also carry the Kh-59 if I remember correctly. Someone can help gather a list if they so please, I’ll update the list with new aircraft.

One is TV and other has an active seeker for anti-ship purposes (not sure if the MK we saw datamined can attack ground targets)

the thing about it though supposedly it has the seeker oh the Kh-29T, it’s quite a old weapon.

Other nations can get it, China. Probably won’t stop them from adding it though.

It is not, is is basically a longer range pgm 2000, the TV variant.

This basically, some will probably look at the range and assume it’s better than the Kh-38

kh59 would be TOO OP considering they are 100 - 280 km range missile with man in loop (bassically one can go cold and guide in missile like predator missile in COD). yes its subsonic and is limited to TV but still, until we get multi vehicle SAM, no. kh59mk2 also has IIR iirc

I doubt these will have man in the loop functionality in game, they’ll work like normal anti ship and TV guided weapons.

They aren’t adding “man in loop” control any time soon.

probably true for this as well but only if you want to utilise MITL feature.
otherwise its just a Kh-29T or TE in practice

No its way slower, subsonic, so would be spotted and shot down easily, and tv seeker wont be able to pick up anything at long range so you have all the time in the world to move away and cause the missile to just hit the ground. (Basically a very large, slightly slower agm-65B, unless Gaijin change their minds and add man in the loop guidance to the game)

Again there is no proof Kh-59 can hit a moving target. In fire and forget mode

No proof of MmW Radar seeker and TV mode works off inertial guidance and then TV mode.
which implies it needs further inputs.

I mean it has the tubus-2 seeker from the kh-29t apparently

Btw on the su17. Can you discern which pylons are the pod and missile mounted on?
