Possible conflict with EAC and WSL2/VM processes

Are there any known issues with War Thunder EAC and WSL2 on latest Windows 11? Before I go recording footage, getting logs from Windows and WT, etc. to submit a ticket, I’'m curious if anyone is experiencing issues with this, specifically:

EAC and game client load fine via Steam. No latency or connection problems, graphics rendering fine. After I join a game, there is some kind of timer or EAC procedure that begins and without fail, usually about 20-30 seconds into a match, my entire War Thunder UI freezes, but my PC does not. It behaves like something takes foreground focus from the window, like an Alt-Tab happened, but nothing pops. The reason I am certain this is EAC is because I enabled the debug window for my default WSL2 distro and each time this happened, it popped that debug window like something was starting up my WSL2 VM. It happened only in War Thunder and this is the only EAC-enabled game I own or play. I imagine EAC runs around checking memory and doing its thing, but if it has to kill my UI and input to scan my WSL2 instance every single match, I’m over it.

Hello @the_nannerpuss,

If I’m understanding you correctly, You are trying to run the Linux WT client through WSL2 on Windows 11? If I’m right about that, Why? Why not just run the Windows WT client?

A lot of anti cheat doesn’t like running in VMs or through translation layers and generally isn’t officially supported by anti cheat.
