It’s interesting how all of these arguments hinge on adding a ton of qualifiers to everything. “Has to be 7.0, 6.7 doesn’t count” / “Has to be a battleship, battlecruisers don’t count” / “Has to be in the tech tree, event/premiums don’t count”
Like yeah, sure, it sounds much worse when the goalposts are arranged perfectly to give the desired outcome.
Britain is getting a new tech tree(!) 7.0(!) battleship(!) this patch, and among the best 7.0s at that. And all we’re seeing is 100 comments of complaining. Somehow, not surprised.
Time-locked options suck universally, thus aren’t grounds for any specific nation to complain.
The topic of that conversation was multiple vehicles being added in the same patch.
Of course defining tech tree counts. People can’t research the other ships. They essentially don’t exist anymore except the few who where there at the time to research them.
The goalpost was set at 7.0 battleship tech tree from the start. Never were moved.
In the case of the QE class it is actually grounds to complain.
It has gotten to the point of asking for them in the same patch because they should have been added already. Gradually through the updates like the other 7.0 BBs but Britain has been neglected for so long it has come to asking for multiple in a patch.
A. Why are event vehicles(timed vehicles) being counted? As if you have a life they as impossible to get. Event, Battlepass and Preuim vehicles should rarely be counted if ever for additions as not everyone can get them, being either timed(with ridiculous requirements) or locked behind a paywall (and can be removed any time).
B. It’s dumb to withhold something a nation used, even more so if they built it.
I already said time-locked stuff sucks. As an Xbox player (no market, and no game entirely including event vehicles before 2018) I’m acutely aware of how terrible it is.
Then why so against Britain getting a Ship that Britain operated, while Russia is getting said British ship?
Ah so lets put you in HMS Glorious, a “Top-Tier” by your definition and make it compete against other top tiers like the Scharnhorst, the Glorious is not Competetive as a “Top-Tier” While less extreme, this is still the case with 6.7s and 7.0s, even more so due to compression, like how Russian air has “Top-Tier jets” but are not Competetive, Don’t get me wrong I do like me a MiG-29, but its just not competetive compared to other Top-Tier aircraft from other nations
There have only been 4 Total additions this year, I Assume you include the Renown, which is An event Vehicle (so immediately should not be included anyway) and was from the Summer Extreme event from 2023, Last year
Besides, He Stated Battleships,
Repulse and Queen Mary are Battlecruisers Not Battleships
Only Battleships added this year are Rodney, and Barham, which YET AGAIN is an event vehicle, it is not available for everyone, it should not be counted in these counts
Jesus Christ I Didn’t know what calibre of person I was dealing with, If this truly happened, expect 99% of the player base to disagree, expect you find yourself with many enemies.
which again, should not be counted as not everyone can get them, especially when 1/2 of the top tier 7.0 vessels are locked behind an event that had ended, which is proportionally twice as much as the next highest (USA) at 1/4
6.7s are naturally not as competetive as 7.0s, which is even more evident due to BR compression which you aknowledge, Premiums and Event Vehicles are Not available to the Average player, who isn’t willing to spend an arm and a leg
Then you would have even more inc
entive you not count Event Vehicles, seeing as a whole portion of the playerbase can never access these vehicles
what other nation in any mode has 1/2 (currently 2/3) of its top BR vehicles locked behind an event, I’m waiting
We’re saying the same thing differently. The thread itself, by being created in this manner is moving the goalposts to an unreasonable location which inevitably results in complaining and entitlement.
Specifically-7.0, specifically-battleship, specifically-tech-tree, specifically-one-nation all at once is far too granular in the context of WT.
When this happened a few months ago it was split pretty well between American mains having a meltdown and people who understood that it was reasonable given the state of higher-BR Germany. So no, definitely not your “99%”.
There was a ton of “this makes sense, but it wouldn’t be bad for the US to get it too”, which seems the most reasonable take.
Sure, so let’s follow this through to its logical conclusion. The top end of Naval has pretty severe compression. This means your “third” 7.0 is probably a “worse” ship than your “first” 7.0. Which means the sensible thing is to spawn in your “first” ship twice with a backup, then spawn your “second” one only if you managed to die twice with a fair bit of match remaining (itself not massively common).
So really, Naval lineups are only two “main” ships anyway. Rodney, Hood, a PT boat, and a floatplane, there’s your lineup.
@Smin1080p_WT would we be able to get any clarity on this issue, because this thread is getting out of hand going back and forth constantly
(sorry on the ping, not sure on the policy around pinging staff, I did read the pinned threat in official news, none really met what is required here to my best interpretation of it)
This is like saying just use a backup with your top tier ground premium then spawn in a rank 3. Do you think before you speak? And again a backup is not always available to people. Which if that’s the case maybe people would like to spend all 3 spawns in a 7.0? Just a thought.
Oh man I see the light, Britain was the largest navy with the most classes of battleships the world had ever seen, with more vehicles available then multiple nations combined but because the guy above only uses 2 boats we don’t need more then 2 as long as their br is 7.0.
The whole argument of a tech tree not being allowed to get multiple 7.0 ships at once is silly, all this does is just gives the UK their 3rd TT 7.0 ship, and their first 15" BB inside the TT at that.
Meaning that players can finally play a full 7.0 lineup with 3x 7.0 ships without having to use a backup (which is not always available to everybody), an event vehicle (which again are not available to everybody), or bring a 6.7 into 7.0, where they are naturally noncompetitive compared to the 7.0s they have to fight.
Not to mention Gaijin has nothing to loose by adding it, as the model is already developed for the Arkhangelsk.
What. No, not at all. What I actually said was spawn in Rodney, spawn in Rodney again, spawn in Hood (or swap those around if you prefer). That’s your three spawns.
The PT boat and floatplane are there if needed. Having a PT boat and floatplane (primarily to cap) is essential for every single Naval lineup. They’re support units; I never suggested they should be spawned as “main” ships.
This is why you guys have so many ships that aren’t top tier 7.0s
Gaijin reads this and apparently correctly assumes you guys won’t mind receiving HMS Thunderer (1911).
And if somebody has no backups? Is there third spawn supposed to be in a PT boat against 7.0? Just because you don’t like the idea of Britain getting 2 7.0s in an update.
Bingo. Britain has been getting lots of their stuff… it’s simply that a lot of it isn’t the specifically-battleship-and-7.0-and-tech-tree that people are complaining about.
