Bro where is Alvis now :(
You do know we got it back and the name when it was scrapped was royal sovereign so the configuration would be accurate regardless
Depends, Gaijin likes to use their active service configs when able.
That’s why I’m saying I do want it added, AND it needs to be confirmed what its British service config was before being used by Soviets.
OR if it was used by British navy officially after being returned before being scrapped.
All information I’m certain Gaijin will disseminate and determine.
In the mean time we at minimum have Rodney to finally get me to grind Britain’s bluewater navy, and Repulse.
So by your own admission now your original point about development time is null and void as you just admitted the configuration would be exactly the same
That’s not what my post says.
No one is trying to get you on “words” either.
Take a step back, breathe, and read my posts calmly.
This is my calm
It would probably be better for us to get a different R class, just to make them somewhat unique from each other if in name only. There isn’t a difference between the ships in the class as they all received the same refits, so the Arkhangelsk model can still be used.
Im perfectly fine with another, model would be the same, long as we actually do get one
its what it said originally
Why so serious?
Is that supposed to scare me
Yeah i think we’ve all said what needs to be said here
My and the boys on our way to claim the Indian Raf…
In all seriousness though i would be happy with any late war r class as long as Britain actually got one, it doesn’t have to be royal sovereign, but one of her sisters as long as they are equal is an acceptable compromise
That would be her 1943 configuration, the final refit Royal Sovereign underwent. Owing to her relatively bad condition, it was later decided to decommission the ship in mid-44. That’s actually part of why she was selected to be transferred to the Soviet Union, as she was in excess of the RN’s needs and in no condition for continued frontline service.
Sadly for Royal Sovereign, the ship’s already terrible condition only worsened during her Soviet service. The ship was inspected in 1949 and found to be completely unusable, so she was never actually recommissioned. Instead, it was stripped for parts and sold for scrap on 18 May 1949. Interestingly, the Soviets actually petitioned the RN to keep the ship for whatever reason prior to her return, though they later backed off and instead kept her bell.
Yeah, I don’t think Britain should get the same ship of R class(maybe later at some point), there’s multiple other options to add
Oh that would be awesome.
Still, that would be better than aa on ships like Malborough.
It’s shame that we don’t have Warspite yet.
WT mobile has it for like over a year now.
You may as well piss into the wind with all the use the 4x 4" AA guns on the Marlborough would do. Its not a very high bar for decent AA compared to the other TT ships.
