Time to say this again. ussr and usa players play the exact same. Usually both rushing caps and playing aggressively.
Ussr tanks have a low skill floor and low skill ceiling, meaning average players can make more mistakes in this tank, in turn, making them generally better. Good players will end up being worse off because of the the tanks limits though.
Usa tanks have a high skill floor and a high skill ceiling, meaning the average player cant make the same mistakes, which in turn, makes them worse with it. Good players however have more flexibility with them, making them great in the right hands.
It’s like comparing a zero and a p51. The p51 cant turn fight, they must climb and bnz. Even if the maps limit them.
This is also doubled down on by the cas and spaa being in favor of the ussr.
New players arent really playing the game in a way to leverage the most out a tanks mobility, gun handling, and especially depression. So they dont feel it as much, and holding down W is their default playstyle. Just like his example in planes with the default noob playstyle being to turn fight everyrhing and that leading to bnz and energy fighters being terrible in their hands against spits and zeroes.
Its not a 100% true statement and you can nitpick it a lot but generally I think his statement is true and basically what ive been saying in this thread in terms of conclusions you should come to reading them.
Didn’t expect the “don’t matter” argument to be used this early in the discussion.
Just hold W and get your breech shot out on literally every tank possible.
So active strengths
Your not wrong about these but these generally effect the skill ceiling.
Spoiler
The abrams has a lot of active strengths, meaning you need to know how to use these for them to be effective. Newer players will stuggle with these.
Gun depression and handling arnt too much of an issue for new players as they generally will be engaging in cqc on flat ground. These 2 being moderate instead of good in terms of quality and usefulness.
Reverse speed, while a usual problem for these tanks, ends up being negligible in the way their played by new players.
For better players, this is a problem in more specific situations where you over expose yourself or just get caught in the open.
Ussr also has 3 different varients of their tanks. t90, t80, and the t72. Which allows you to have armor, reverse speed, or a t72.
Vs the usa having the same exact tank with little improvements to it’s hull, armor, and speed.
All in all, ussr has the easier tanks to play for newer players, and usa has the better tanks for good players.
But a good way to fix this would be to add more (Counterpart?) tanks. More ussr like to the usa, and vise versa. (I don’t want a t80 in the usa tt or abrams in the ussr if your gonna ask)
They are also very unforgiving. If you’re breached, you cannot retreat. If you miss or mess up your shot, anything will outreload you.
However since the average player is a Hold W Henry the Russian vehicles are easier to play, as a moving Russian tank is a lot harder to dispatch than a still one. The W Holding works because the US players you face are dented and cannot aim for weakspots to quite literally save their lives.
“Just aim for weak spots bro, stop coping”
what weakspots lmao? the lower plate only works on certain elevations ect and if the leo2a7 is carrying hull ammo. so under the gun is the only real one tap potential shot, which gets consumed by the drivers opticts so many times. and god forgive you if your on 100+ ping.
