The only nation that has this big of a population difference is america in air, evident by the fact they are on both team in ARB at higher tiers literally every match. This is not the case for USSR in ground, and only sometimes in ARB matches.

Ya they are better for holding W gameplay, which is something you want to move away from when you learn to actually play the game, and then all the problems with russian tanks come out and its frustrating to play them in that manner vs other nations tanks, assuming chinese and british tanks are the same to some degree as well.

This guy has some of the best in depth map guides for ground, and every time you will see you have issues with playing tanks with poor depression in these spots, and you have to play the game completely differently and usually not as ideal or strong as the spots you can with nato tanks.

Russia has about that much of a difference to any nation in grb besides germany and the US.The difference is just that russia has about 13% better winrate than the US with similar player numbers and with all due disrespect towards clickbait bots thats not explainable just with "russia players are just smarter than US players

Having more players than the other team usually, and that is just down to mostly rng with MM in terms of what side gets the least amount of 1/2 death leavers, which playing aggressively usually leads to death and them leaving early.

Im not saying you can’t have an impact on the match, but its is very difficult to hard carry a match when you are down players and have to put yourself on caps in 1vX situations. 2 cp maps you can carry much harder than 3/1 cp maps, since all you have to do is defend your cap and never have to put yourself in bad positions to stall ticket bleed, but if the match devolves into a 5v10 you are pretty much screwed regardless.

11.7 premiums like the click bait being around longer and being on sale more times now probably doesn’t help. The reason they would have a higher WR at top tier is down to the kh38mt mostly accounting for that ~10% increase, like I said above player numbers mostly dictate the outcome, and having a bunch of player loss due to even low skill russian CAS pilots being able to get a couple frags for free for just spawning in a su30/34 is going to hurt that a lot.

I also don’t really like WR as a statistic for balance, game has mixed match maker and sometimes even the same nation on both sides. Average placement on the scoreboard/kd is probably better when looking at vehicles or nations br brackets etc. and again the MM is completely random, if your team has a bunch of 1 death leavers you are cooked when they die and the match turns lopsided. I remember when germany got their 11.7 premium their winrates tanked because you had an influx of 1 death leavers, not necessarily bad or dumb players solely.

I really wish we had a gamemode with expactation set on how many spawns you are required to bring/do in a match, probably get a lot better statistics for balance in those types of matches where both teams have to stick around till the conclusion.

The game model things based exactly like real life, but they tend to use some double standards towards Russia.

Definitely because of the planes and the countless versions of few vehicles, ex: Khriza,BMPs,BMDs,Objects…etc and let’s not forget about what nation got the best SPAA in the game to counter CAS, if you get one like it then your ground team is safe and the CAS Russia meets most of the time is super easy to defeat.

But anyways its another discussion for another time, but let’s not act like Russia is weak and its certainly not.

I know their tanks suffer from bad gun handling, reload, but they get a powerful armor and the help of powerful CAS with a powerful SPAA.

And russia also has its fair share with popular premiums which the russian winrate drop at 10.3 and also the one on 11.7 show pretty well compared to 12.0. Russian top tier is just straight up easier to play and/or better than almost all other nations

my experience with playing different tech trees has exactly nothing to do with assessing the intelligence of war thunder players since a.battles are mixed and b. there is no reason why US players would be dumber than russia players

Ironic you’re calling me dense. You lack multi-nation experience at top tier and expect people to accept everything you say. You refuse to accept a universally known fact that US top players are dumb.

ok im gonna respond one more time, because maybe you might understand one thing: Multination experience of one person doesnt mean shit if statistics of hundreds of thousands of games paint a clear picture.

Armor isnt what is stopping CAS its the ERA. And its not the armor that is the advantage on the ground its the lower profile leading to smaller weakspots. You arent lolpenning ufp or turret cheeks of other nations tanks, all armor needs to do is be good enough to force the other player to go for weakspots, im not shooting leopards or abrams in the turret or ufp with 3bm60, im aiming at the same spots you would on a russian vehicle with the exception of abrams having the massive turret neck.

Pantsir is better than other spaa, but it is still outclassed by CAS, its not a 15km death bubble. What it does do over other nations is deal with incoming ordinance much better. Im not gonna pretend pantsir isnt the best spaa at 12.0 but its not a hard counter to CAS, good players will dance all over it.

Time to say this again. ussr and usa players play the exact same. Usually both rushing caps and playing aggressively.

Ussr tanks have a low skill floor and low skill ceiling, meaning average players can make more mistakes in this tank, in turn, making them generally better. Good players will end up being worse off because of the the tanks limits though.

Usa tanks have a high skill floor and a high skill ceiling, meaning the average player cant make the same mistakes, which in turn, makes them worse with it. Good players however have more flexibility with them, making them great in the right hands.

It’s like comparing a zero and a p51. The p51 cant turn fight, they must climb and bnz. Even if the maps limit them.

This is also doubled down on by the cas and spaa being in favor of the ussr.
