My opinion on what they should do to the MiG-29-
Dev server FM: it could keep up with the F-16s in dogfighting, which is pretty much the soviets intention (Make a plane to compete with the F-16)
Missiles: Remove R-27ER, Implement R-73.

he challenged me to a 1v1 before to prove that a Mig-29 with r-73s would be OP against the F-16A ADF

TLDR: he lost, got salty and shot a r-27er at me before the merge, even tho we agreed to not shoot before the merge and i still won that round

yea the MiG-29 flight model is hopeless, R-73s don’t help if the F-15 is already behind you after 2 turns

This is due to the missile’s terrible autopilot.
R-73s don’t help the MiG-29G in a dogfight because it’s pretty much always defensive against its opponent, and you can’t fire the missile behind you (where the enemy will be in 2 turns)

No. The R-73 missiles would help defeat the F-15, but they have a terrible autopilot, as do all TVC missiles. Perhaps even all missiles in the game have a terrible autopilot.
The F-15 won’t be behind you in 1 second, so you have a chance to destroy it with a missile. (With a good autopilot)

this was mostly talking about an air RB duelling setup, and clearly you are a very skilled simulator pilot or the rafale you’re fighting is abysmal at the game. After the recent update I’ve noticed R-73s spin out much less, and you’re asking a lot of the missile.
You’re in a flanker, not mig-29. Mig-29 is much worse at pulling aoa out of thin air

correct me if I’m wrong, but the 9-13 is called a fatback due to more fuel and possibly the ability to carry the ER? and has marginally worse flight performance than the 9-12s in game (statshark)
You are switching up the 9-13 and the smt
the 9-13 hump is noticeably bigger than the 9-12 and I believe thats where the name came from

Because the R-73 flies terribly. It shouldn’t fly like that.
Dude. I also flew a lot on the MiG-29, if it got the R-73 with a normal autopilot, the plane would be much more interesting.
