[ Poll ] Should India stay in UK tech tree?

you got your timeline wrong.

First indian vehicle in UK tree was Vijayanta in La Royale. Bhisma was added in Sons of Atilla.

Also why on Earth would it go to Israel as subtree?

I dont know why the addition of indian vehicles to the british tt is ticking off so many people.
Its just where gaijin has decided the vehicles should go.

Its not that deep and its definitely not for any underhanded political reason (like supporting colonialism).
If it ain’t broke, dont fix it.

I personally love indian vehicles and cant wait for the rest of em to come to the rather boring british toptier lineup

No noister india cannot have its own sub tree

India’s current implementation is horrible. India deserves it’s own line at least, moreso than say, Hungary. Or Finland.

Though well we can’t quite change anything now. So the best approach is to sprinkle Indian vehicles in the British tech tree. Stuff like Tejas, Zorawar, Arjun. Can be added like how NL Leopards are.

Historically speaking the UK colonised india so it makes sense that india is the UK’s sub tree

Well this is past that point.

I think you are misunderstanding me. I am complaining about how Indian vehicles were used as event/premium filler until now. And those 2 SPAA I guess.

Not that it is a part of Britain, or the justification for that.

Also Taiwan is not a sub-tree, so that is different.

Both Taiwan and China agree that they are a single Nation, they just disagree on who is the legitimate Government of that Nation. It is completely different to India being colonized by a Foreign power.

Independent tree if it’s replaced by CANZAC

Technically the Vickers MBT mk1 is the first Indian arguably even if people want to deny that the whole thing was rigged up specifically to fill the Indian tender and in cooperation with India and steal it from the Germans ;)

I have my own personal beliefs on that, especially when people are completely fine with Canada, Aussieland and Kiwibirbs being added using US and German equipment lol. “but closer tech” also doesnt explain people being anti French kit from India but pro French kit from South Africa.

I think British export vehicle is a tad different though to a soviet export vehicle.

Centurion belongs in the British TT if there is no where else for it to go. A T90 or mig21 doesn’t

export* vehicle

*terms and conditions apply, may or may not exist completely because of the Indian contract.

Does that mean we can get every US vehicle too?

Because soviet vehicles are a wierd addition. Especially when Canada has a load of really interesting native vehicles that would actually fit far neater in our TT or our other sub TT, south Africa which has more unique additions like the cheetah.

Not too mention Britain, which is missing loads.

Just Britain and South Africa could result in a tree like this

I really don’t see the need for Soviet C&P

Strela, OSA, mig21 and T90 are just lazy C&Ps and we don’t want Mig29 C&Ps instead of additions like the Hawk or a properly modeled Typhoon

Gaijin: Adds tree to the game
Players: REEE IT’S ALL COPY PASTE

Gaijin: Ok, add subtree/specific units of semi-unique stuff to skip the copy/paste
Players: REEE IT SHOULD BE ITS OWN TREE

There’s never any winning with you lot is there…

An independent tree would have 90% copy/paste with maybe a couple different rounds or something, and then 10% unique. I would rather instead of doing that, we fill out the existing trees as they have been, and/or come up with a way to release a combined tree with multiple nations at once with <50% copy/paste for those who aren’t already represented (when filling is no longer required as much).
