Poll regarding new aiming system

My numbers have evidence - my own testimony.

I expressly said they are my experience, and you have no right to call me a liar.

If you had expressed your own experience as numbers I would have noted that mine was different.

But you purported to be talking about player population figures - figures that you do not actually have any evidence to support.

You owe me an apology - but I won’t see it because "b"ankers like you go to the ignore forever pile.

We discussed it, april stats still not there.

The funny thing is, on the official StatShark Discord someone actually asked this question, because that person was wondering why Naval stats for March-April looks so poor, and one of the StatShark developers answered this:

These stats are updated during the first week of each month:

How often are Global Stats Updated?
Global stats are always updated in the first week of each month, the exact day varies from month to month.

This is how the updates works, again quote from one of the StatShark devs:

Basically, they named it “Feb-march”, because this data also includes a few days from March (and exclude a few days from February). But you can threat them as February stats.

The last update was on April 5 (March-April stats). Next week we should see April-May stats, these stats will be interesting.

According to StatShark, the number of games played on popular vessels dropped by 2-3 times. Yes, about 50-66% less battles on these vessels than in the previous month (with old Naval Arcade aiming system), that’s a huge difference. The question is whether the player base will decline even further in the coming months. I suspect we will have even less players playing Naval in April, but we will see very soon. Just wait for the April-May stats, which will be released in the first week of May.

We will check that when April-May stats appears, i suppose it gonna be on next week or even sooner. Could you wait that before making any conclusions.

I bet the numbers will be AMAZING

Don’t forget that last naval marathon event was in February before patch and next one will be in 2+ month.

I doubt half of us will be there for that.

As you can see tank stats have the same bias, are you gonna argue that tank battles have drastic playerbase drop?

Yes actually, been seeing as many if not more complaints in ground than navy so thanks for bringing that to attention!

The customers are not happy and want better.

Don’t trust in anything you hear, just always check it:

[Event] Get Strasbourg in the Raider Hunter Event! - News - War Thunder

The majority of this event actually took part in March, so it’s mostly included in March-April stats.

It still doesn’t make sense to say that players who played the last Naval event used e.g. LS 3 boat. That would be a terrible way to progress in the event ;).

But it is true that War Thunder is losing players globally. I can see this in my squadron as well. We always had 20k Squadron RP every 3 days, but nowadays we have problems with reaching required squadron activity. There are also significantly fewer new players wanting to join the squadron. You can also notice that the number of online players is far from record-breaking.

as the LS3 is not valid for the event - neither rank III or event-vehicle …

Im just saying that after event was a patch, and after event there is always playerbase drop can you measure what causing it more, the boycott of some players who don’t like the changes or just absents of activities, in other hand there was a patch which bring some attention to new vehicles so we will see numbers after SS publish them .

That’s why I said that April-May stats will be so interesting. These will be the first statistics with a full month following the change in Naval Arcade aiming. The “Hornet’s Sting” major update was released on March 18, so the March-April stats also include data from players that used the old Naval Arcade aiming system (from March 5 to March 18, which is actually 2 weeks).

I definitely saw a huge reduction in the number of players after the Naval Arcade aiming system was changed. Every battle I have played after the update had a lot of AI bots, which wasn’t the case before this change. But I am EU/CIS player, maybe in different regions and time zones it looked differently (maybe that’s why some players don’t see the difference, I don’t know).

I stopped playing Naval Arcade because of this change. I just don’t like the new aiming system in Naval Arcade, and I’m not a fan of Naval Realistic. The good thing is that I have at least started playing other games. Previously I only played War Thunder (Naval Arcade was my main game mode), and I just didn’t have time to play anything else. I also did not purchase the current Battle Pass in War Thunder. This will be the first BP I will miss since BPs were introduced to the game in 2020.

Your repeated attempted stat shaming only shames yourself, pretty sure it’s against the rules too.

I didn’t check the Russian forum for a long time. I did it today and I noticed on their forum there was a suggestion to bring back the old Naval Arcade aiming system.

Their forum works a bit differently, and it’s the players who vote for suggestions to be passed (or not) to developers.

The result of the vote:

As you can see, 71% of voters supported this suggestion and it was forwarded to the developers. Of course it doesn’t mean that the devs will surely revert this change. But at least it shows us how many Russian players prefer the old Naval Arcade aiming system. It’s not just the English community that is unhappy with this aiming system change.

You can check this topic directly on the Russian forum:

I don’t think I have to say who is the most frequent poster in that topic? It’s easy to figure out. And this person is doing the exact same thing as here, blaming players for not understanding the simplified aiming system, showing and criticising their stats, etc.

He must be getting paid by the post. Stat shaming is against the TOS, but it seems to be his go to tactic. On top of that, if he can’t argue against a point, he just arbitrarily declares it to be a “bug” or goes after the person personally. I’ve experience it first hand here.

Sure, now show me where? Besides that is not a “stat shaming”

And those bugs is fixed by my reports.

“If there is no skill and easymode why you are not in first places? It not faceroll at all, you need to play smart to live and score. It easier in aiming yes, but harder to live long, and it leads to more active gameplay, just like i said in my proposal year ago. And don’t forget that new aiming boosted those ships and boats which underperform previously like slow reloaders and those who had big guns but don’t have rangefinder mechanic for some reasons.”

“And when another “coastal” players tell me that there was “skill” in aiming i laugh. Farming bots and newbies at knife distances where aiming barely different, those who can’t do anything against you, like it was pre patch that’s ain’t no “skill”. You just been in safe zone from destroyers aren’t you, now you are easy prey for them if you play dumb as before. You had comfort in safety now it’s gone, deal with it.”

“Why do you loose match even with “Murmansk” on your side if there is no skill involved, then?”

“Form my point of view you gathered to play sealcubbing, and now seals have guns.”

“i didn’t say that all seals born knowing how to use a gun, but before change they were with wobbling noddle swords versus those who mastered art of gun-fu aka. (skrs and m-802)
i notice that players in average achieve higher results in both dmg and points(and this with aiming partially broken), sure it’s not all thank to aiming but other changes too.”

“you think playing or stop playing in 3.0- costal where newbies are dwell(like you and many other who complain here and in other treads) any noticeable?”

“Of course you don’t care about the bugs, cause you don’t care about the mode, you care about yourself been in comfort like before to play you beloved 2.3-4.0. If you cared you’ve been demanding the bugfixes.”

“I notice that you can’t handle the changes. And can’t proof that new system leave no skill.”

“You can look at this guy, who can’t learn, do you can?”

“Ain’t look like you can handle it.”

“we both with Joe in first 100 of NAB players by GJ statistics it’s open you know?
and I’m not even active played last 2 month”

Sure i don’t know “how to”

Which is it? It didn’t happen or if it happened it’s not a TOS violation? These are all quotes from you (typos included). Let me know if you need another 50 examples.
