Gaijin discontinued the Chinese client because of low player counts, and the fact that it was several updates behind. Stona and/or Smin have said that there are no plans to bring it back.

For this point, you should know how to establish a server and service of an foreign game in China mainland regions, apparently you know nothing about it, so, here’s a brief introduction:

Step 1, You need to cooperate and authorize a Chinese company to be a regional publisher, you could not set server directly if you don’t have such agent company. And to set a server, you should not be a foreign company or joint venture.

Step 2, You need to get ICP license for the right to register your game under the law and rule of Chinese government. If you could meet the requirement in step 1, than you need to wait the authorized Chinese company to apply ICP for your game. Now, Chinese government would not give green light so fast to foreign games, especially, our game is a military themed game. Ideal expectable quene is about 3~5 years later, we could get the ICP.

Step 3, the most important part for an MMO game. You should know, you should have been waiting for ICP for a long period, but even during this progress, you need to pay huge amount money to the agent company to maintain the cooperation. After your game formally go to public, you need to recover your cost as soon as possible, or the cooperation will be corrupted because you have already spent all of your revenue.

Step 4, after step 3, you hold the situation and the game managed to survive, let’s talk about migration of Chinese players to Chinese server. You could take Enlisted as reference, or the CN WarThunder in 2015, it won’t make the number of these players change so apparently. And this step will prove your idea about drive Chinese players away is just wasting of time and money.
