That’s one way to think of it.
"According to one of the DEVs who spoke on Q&A MM takes into account:
plane level
player level [I don’t know if it’s the level in a given nation or the general level]"
2013 eh
And there were occasional mentions, but we can’t reach all of them today because a lot of the material was deleted.
I’m not a casual Sunday player like most people here,
I was heavily involved for a while.
My “curiosity” led to multiple bans
First, I was punished for wanting to know how the XP system works, which today you have so nicely described in the report envelope. Later, I was permanently silenced for raising the topic of the massive outpouring of Chinese bots, which you all read about in reports today.
If a tool is created, a way to prove it, the game community will definitely find out about it sooner than snail informs about it officially.
Just note that these mechanisms are actually a bit of a scam, because when you pay for a premium account you are actually paying for faster progress, and this is intended to limit too fast progress. Who will officially admit that they rob their customers?
Regardless of what you identify as, you acted as a real human. I applaud that. God bless you for it.
Sir,
My advice in this situation is as mentioned before. Take a break from the game, just do logins, and await the score to drop a little and see how you feel returning.
Or, if you so desire, you may attempt changing to a different tree and seeing if piloting one of those changes your outcomes.
I would strongly suggest limiting yourself to only 2 or 3 matches, and don’t bother with winning or losing. Learn ti play and fight your best for you.
Even if the rest of the team completely dumbies it up, if you’ve played smart and to the best of your ability, you have nothing to be shamed for.
Further, if it’s still problematic, see about squadding up.
Dark Matter is todays “Luminiferous Ether”. :-)
But to the matter: Some years ago, a fellow posted a thread in which he claimed that premium vehicles are loaded for their first 20 missions. “Tinfoil hat alert”. I had a premium that was untouched. I crewed it and proceeded to test the matter. The answer was clear, it didn’t happen. So I told him that I have decicive evidence to the contrary. His hypothesis is WRONG.
Then the interesting thing happened: He came back suggesting that maybe it doesn’t apply as widely as he thought. But for him, he was on an incredible reproducible streak beyond all reasonable probability. He linked the consecutive server replays. So I decided to examine as closely as possible for me what he claimed to see. I used all the ingredients he used: same mode and rank. And amazingly enough, he was right for those constrains. I got the same crazy results just like clockwork.
There was quite some disbelief, but what this guy was offering was as close to a scientific theory as you can get in war thunder: It stated, that an action with certain parameters will cause the MM to place you on top. And this was reproducible and/or falsifiable for everyone who matched the parameters.
Some of the scientific minded folks quickly narrowed it down to be working in certain modes only.
Then of course the administration cut in, told us “these are not the droids you seek” and closed threads.
When I checked it a year later, I could not observe the effect.
I really love your analogies. :-)
But imho your reply as a whole reminds me on some other folks (some time ago in Berlin) standing in front of piles of construction material and listening to their local admins which cited: “Nobody is going to built a wall”…
Immediately goes into stat shaming. Facepalm Go touch grass. Good damn. If you have something to say it should be constructive criticism not “Get good” bruh.
Well as much as I have been avoiding this topic because of the stupidity of the original post, what exactly where you expecting to happen after the OP right off the back brought up stats which in particular was win rate.
Honestly, it’s hard to avoid with the absurdity of the original argument and as other people pointed out had some serious main character energy with conspiracy theories as to why they keep losing even when they do good, they still lose which is some real main character energy since something they don’t seem to understand that in the game the best means to win matches is to work together with good teammates (they don’t have to be the best players, but not stupid and or useless) which is very difficult when you have a large amount low level players who don’t know what they are doing which makes many matches much harder.
And one thing I will particularly add which is an assumption of mines, they made this as a result of probably playing jets particularly withing the br range of 11.3 which is full of low-level premium players which make matches much harder because that’s an area of the game where you would want players who know what they are doing, and the reason I say this is based on the trend of many of their most played vehicles are jets that are within that br range (Not all of them) so I see it as the most logical conclusion.
And while I am not here to throw insults (if I were I wouldn’t have avoided this topic) the only suggestion I can think of giving them to help them is genuinely saying it’s a skill issue, and not in the sense I am saying they are bad (well I am because they clearly need a reality check and have their ego taken down a notch) but the fact that nothing can be done about what they are experiencing and it’s something every player has to put up with. Yet it doesn’t help how they go off with conspiracy theories with gaijin being the scapegoat as to why they are doing so bad, and to be fair the actual overall reason they are having issues is gaijins fault, they are still spouting conspiracies accusing them of targeting them in order to make the game worse for them, and the way they go about it makes them sound like they have a superiority complex as if they are much better than they actually are and to a point that the only reason they must be doing worse is not their fault (as said before it’s actually not but the reason it is happening is something that is normal for any player).
In short, yes, they probably are doing worse because they are matched with a decent number of unexperienced players who really should be playing low tier, who by playing higher tiers than they actually should be drag their team’s performance down which the OP did notice, however they came to the wrong conclusion as they blamed gaijin for the wrong reasons with those conspiracy theories. In the end there is no solution to their problem as the reason they think they are having a problem does not exist, and at the same time they are clearly frustrated and might be better off taking some sort of break since the original post is not something that can be described as reasonable, otherwise they just have to put up with it or hope more of the community try to push gaijin to put restrictions of buying top tier premiums to cut the problem off at its source.
I got the suspicion we may be dealing with a green player A using an account B. Might just be lost in translation though…
Puh - your post was hard to read as you managed to transform a rather short core message into a wall of text. It would be great if you would consider to use more paragraphs and punctuation marks next time. Thx in advance.
I share your view that most problems discussed in this forum are quite often a “me/you” problem instead of a “they/them” issue, but self-reflection is rather rare these days and blaming others for own failures is actually the standard approach of most people when things don’t work as expected.
But - using “conspiracy theory” multiple times in this case is actually rather counterproductive, you might consider to do some research who invented this expression and why. Basically nobody here can say for sure that his opinion is “right” - just based on missing insight.
As pointed out earlier, this discussion about how the game works is purely academic and rather pointless - the only way to get some clarity would be an equivalent of “wikileaks”, so a kind of “gaijinleaks”.
Btw:
does not fit to:
As I said I am not here to throw insults, while I do indeed think the original post is stupid, compared to what I would have thrown as insults if I posted earlier as well as what I already said, it really isn’t much of an insult as it is me stating my personal opinion.
And if you really want an example of what I would have thrown if I was, going off the tinfoil hat from earlier, this man is not wearing a tin foil hat they are living in a tinfoil hut wearing tinfoil armor. Yet in the end I never said it in what I originally said and only say it now because of you. (I should also add that example of an insult I gave would have been longer than that as well)
Also, if I may add, have they provided any evidence to prove that Gaijin is particularly targeting them and not the normal case of low tier players being a plague at top tier with top tier premiums that everyone has to put up with? Also, it’s not even a discussion anymore, not saying it can’t be still, but the OP hasn’t even posted for two days so how are you supposed to discuss when the other side never bothered to come back?
Also keep in mind this is the last thing they said:
Yeah no, as much as me repeatedly saying conspiracy theory is counterproductive, this is still on the level of a conspiracy theory since from what they last said all we know is they still believe gaijin has more special control over the matchmaker than they actually do and wanted a community helper to do something about that despite them not being a paid gaijin employee and doing stuff on the forums voluntarily which should tell you they don’t understand how it works. So yeah, even if you want to argue about this further, it’s pointless unless the OP were to come back since neither of us probably can guess how they ended up with the conclusion the came to outside of (at least for me) they just have a superiority complex.
Much better to read this time. Thx!
Fully agree.
well said (both times)
The problem is, that his entire argument is.
“I am soo good, so Gaijin targets me specifically”
So disproving his premise does dismantle the argument.
How should i assess his premise if not using his player card?
He said he is in the top 5000 while being average, this would mean RB jas about 10000 players (assuming normal distribution). So something is obvioulsy wrong here.
