Please gaijin make make optimization better or allow us to ban has many maps has possible

I hate that I have to make the choice between having to play in ulq, and not being able to spot anyone because everything look like a big blob of pixel rather than actualy distinct objects

Or I have to sometime play with 60 fps on some map and 400 on others

Maybe make so when your fps drop bellow a hundred you can leave the match without any penalty

What specs do you have because war thunder is incredibly well-optimised

fps running from 60-400 on ULQ sounds pretty wild…
I may think there is more harware issue in there instead game optimization…
What you run,

no that’s the fps i get on high setting, the game is only consistant on ulq

Drop shadows, clouds etc not so needed to bit lower, and it should improve stability a lot.
Also tree rendering range takes a lot on older hardware.
I’m going on 10y old laptop on mixed HI/med. Just had to turn water , clouds and shadows bit lower and it is 90-120 fps.

And check that your Graphic card got latest updates.

all of that I allready had put on lowest cuz i found them to just be a distraction

when tabbing in and out of war thunder, sometimes “video driver hung” and then the game automatically lowers graphics, this is ONLY on war thunder for me.

Interesting, I have a directly worse PC with a 3050, 12400f and I get a stable 1080p native maximum graphics 144fps. Is your PSU underpowered at all? Might be chopping some stuff?

If you play on Steam: Disable overlay.

Disable overlays in general.

I’d search for stuff on your computer that could be bloatware as well… such as Opera GX.

I’d also suggest running a repair Windows command.

While running command prompt as administrator:
sfc /scannow

Dude getting 60-400 fps while I’m getting 15fps at low graphics all the time with freezing on my shitty laptop

buddy, my fps has never been up to 100, ppl would abuse this so much

I used to play like that I get your pain. If you want to squeeze just that extra bit of performance out of your laptop, reduce screen resolution from 1080p - 720p if possible, and reduce refresh rate to 48 XD. You might gain an extra frame per second

I have played The Isle Legacy at what I think was 2 fps and even at time 0,5 fps. I know pain

bro this SHOULD NOT run as bad as you are describing

do you have an xmp profile enabled in bios? memory speeds are very important

Not really.

I have I7-8700K OC+ ASUS ROG 1080TI OC and my fps changes depending on maps a lot.

Sometimes I get 120-140fps on certain maps while other times I get 160-240fps on different maps.

On air its even worse, for example on mysterious valley I saw 60 fps in certain areas while in general its around 140fps.

Before the uptade it was around 140-180fps on that map.

Just a little reminder that while op might have hardware issue, their are also indeed some very performance hungry maps in game, such as the Moscow air map or Japan and gaijin could do something about it (especialy for my fellow potato pc/laptop user, playing with 15 fps while lelting your finger on your keyboard is not the best experience)

Please can some mod edit the title?

Worst one is the mysterious valley.

I don’t know what they did to that map but its the worst one.

i literally lost 50 fps for the last year. Its optimization dies with each new mechanic and map rework. No specs changed, each update im forced to drop some graphic effect like wate, clouds, trees, ground deformation ect to make it have 100 FPS. I Ran SSAA 4x + 16x filtration, now i cant even run 4x filtration to not have FPS go under 75. Im running out of options as for now.
