Please, for the love of god, buff rolands

Im genuinely so tired of using the Roland. It’s cool, but HIGHLY ineffective. Beyond 3-4km the missiles just become unusable – it’s like throwing rocks against a jet, which is literally what it is. A Su-25 can do a single barrel roll at 4+km distance and the missile will lose control and fly away to space. How are they supposed to be competitors to the Osa?

It’s even worse for france - where Roland is your ONLY long-range option for air defence, and they also get the worst one. (Also the US.)

Don’t even get me started on the fact that, germany could avoid getting a copy-paste Osa if gaijin simply didn’t gut the Rolands.

Please, buff them. Specifically missile performance. And maybe give the French roland it’s historical launcher elevation. A “Roland 2” modification, giving Roland 1 access to lead radar, would also be nice.

Roland 1 is a short range anti-air missile, same as the VT-1 which is the top ground-to-air anti-air missile in France, being the second best missile in the second if not the best platform—Pantsir-S1 mobility is questionable.

You have literally zero experience with it.

I’m sure it’s a great missile in real life, however gaijin’s implementation of it is… not good.

Rolands have been powercrept and decompression could help there.
Also, Gaijin is allergic to AAs having the same range as CAS, so expecting some major buffs is probably out of the picture.

honestly the biggest issue is that it’s a roland 1 and not the 2. The fuckign 35 degrees of elevation is my main gripe. Anything comes close and you just cannot engage.
