Your stats have been going downhill from then so I assumed. I recommend not bruteforcing jets with the mig23ml. Once you grind the russian techtree, you will feel more comfortable with the mig23ml. It’s very good against the f4 phantoms. And mirages are op at that br for every nation so best to avoid dogfights with them. Oh yeah and make sure you are not dogfighting with the mig23, the f5 and other jets turn much better. If it’s a f4, then yeah you could try dogfighting. In a majority of times use your better engine to boom and zoom.
any tips?
My honest reaction:

This is something alot of players learn from WWII fighters.
- Climb high and use R-24R to take down other f4 who climbed high as well.
- Either stay high and shoot down other planes that are high up as well. This requires careful notching and preflaring so needs more skill. Second choice is to drop down to ground, using the altitude drop to gain more speed. Slow F5 are an easy target.
- Once at ground level, clear out the rest of the enemy team and stick with your teammates.
- If you see an op plane like the mirage, just run away to a teammate so both of you guys can take the mirage head on or run away back to your airfield to restock on missiles and fuel.
There’s plenty of youtube videos to watch on the mig23ml as well.
no bombing?
You can bomb, but then you’re not helping your team and you steal bases from strike aircraft who can’t fight and can only bomb.
If you continue to bomb with the mig23, then you won’t learn how to fight jets and you’re gonna struggle still when you get your first russian jet. Top tier air demands skill. Either treat the mig23 like a fighter or grind the whole russian tech tree. You need to learn alot for jets through practice either way.
It may seem the mig23 is not a good dogfighter, but it’s a very capable jet at 11.7. I’ve gotten killed in a f4 so many times by mig23s. It’s good, you just need to learn how to use it.
i listned to your word, and got 2 kills, but then i had to dogfight 7v1 with four of them being f14 and rest mirage
That’s a good start. But if you got in a 7v1, you either got unlucky (this happens to everyone) or you did not go to your teammates. Was it a 7v1 because you were the only one left on your team or because you were by yourself on the map away from your teammates?
rest of my teamates were on spawn drinking apple juice
Then you should have returned to base as well or stayed nearby the airfield SPAA. Like I said, stick with your team.
You can lure the enemy into following you to the airfield SPAA. It’s a good tactic
my radar wont lock,i use irs than switch to radar but when they flare it wont lock,
They’re probably releasing chaff and flare together. And 11.0-11.7 radar sucks in general. Especially when close to the ground. It’s best to use high up.
high up they can just dodge, mabye i should headon with r60m,
The BMPT first introduced at 10.3 for a whole week and a half, then going to 10.7 and still stomping at 11.3 to this day is surely a huge buff to NATO. /s.
And sure, huge buff to NATO countries that their SARH missiles are rollable and the R-24/R-27s are not. Another /s.
The more you die and the more you kill, you will naturally find the right way to play. If you’re constantly dying or losing, it’s best to not do what you were doing originally and experiment other methods. But if you follow youtube guides, then you will also learn new, correct ways to fight.
somtimes when i find target, the moment i shoot missles someone killed him earlier
i got 2 kills now looking good, heading for enemy airfield
thanks for the tips,my stats gone higher
See not western bias ;) good luck grinding out the Russian tree. There are some really good 13.0-14.7 planes for Russia
