It wont. For many its going to be tbeir first and last missile thunder experience.
Im.sure they have lost alot of potential.£ with this
Same thing they do for GRB, just add reasonable options from nearby nations. Like a Tornado for Sweden.
Though the list is very small that needs that. France for example does have native carriers but doesn’t use their own native carriers in GRB iirc
Their age old excuse to not implement asymmetrical ARB modes is that they would cause long queue times. Now the game has gained so much more popularity that I’m sure adding these modes separately wouldn’t cause any delays.
I’ve been playing for a long time. When I first started playing, ARB used to be called “historical air battles”, and this event is the most fun I’ve had in air in a long time. You get multiple respawns and an interesting battle layout that makes every type of aircraft useful and encourages all of them to cooperate. This is also how I can see strategic bombers becoming of importance. I can also see a similar layout being applied to WW2 matches that could simulate Germany’s battles against allied bombing raids.
This would be a good opportunity to add those strategic bombers and nuke carriers.
For example, the Mirage 4 and B2. With a gamemode like this, they would actually have purpose.

Love the event. Really want gaijin to add all nations and a bunch of exotic strategic bombers. Should also add naval to the mix so we can actually use antiship missiles. They could also add (at least for now) ai subs so we could fly ASW plane missions too
So some of my takes on this gamemode:
First of all, i love this game mode. This makes the team utilize every jet type i.e. attackers and bombers and gives them a reason to hit objectives rather than be just free kills in regular ARB. The respawn mechanic allows us to continuously play more and continue engaging in the battle, and the main objectives is a lot of fun and requires a co-ordinated effort. The Nuclear Weapons eliminating spawn points is the “Totality” measure which gives more gravity of the situation and gives players Agency rather than “You get killed and your team is all dead its over gg next game” loop.
Spawn camping is a little difficult unless you erode enemy air defence, then it becomes a problem. To me it is not any different in Air Realistic since the AA/SAM network is dense enough that you can take off and go. The frontlines are very dynamic and approaching target areas require nuance and some form of planning to go in and destroy objectives.
My only gripes at the moment is, more aircraft capable of using SEAD should be equipped on both sides, along with the Roland/OSA needing to be toned down just a little bit. How are OSA/Roland radars being able to phase through trees and hit you while you’re flying NOE (25m and lower to the ground)
The real problem i can see is the usage of Multirole Aircraft in top tier alongside Fox-3s if this game mode ever gets implemented and how it would play out. SAM batteries would be infinitely more stronger and Fox-3s would be an inherent mechanic to discuss and work around/balance with in this game mode, however i can foresee the unlimited spawning help offset this imbalance + heavy AA/SAM network to prevent spawn camping and SHORAD/Point Defence Interceptors.
These are just some of my thoughts about this gamemode, but so far i really do like it and i want it to stay. As someone who’s lived out the FOX-3 Meta ever since its inception and is a concurrent player since 2017 i am happy about this game mode rather than ARB’s Monotonous “Kill the enemy team ASAP” Flavour. Also i get to play other planes rather than meta so YIPPIE :D
Its kinda hard to rely on your rwr when the moment you lift off your airfield you have launch warnings on your rwr 95% of the time even though the launches are actually on you only about 10% of the time. They need to decrease the rwr sensitivity a bit so that I’m not getting a launch warning from an s300 launching on a teammate 20km away.
Please Gaijin leave the mode or let us be able to test the nukes in the test drive only (if you decide to not keep the mode).
F-14 IRIAF was pretty easy to get and a bit broken with the current lineup of aircraft.
It would help a lot if Russia got the mig 29 9-13 as a loaner fighter and the USA got the F-15A as a loaner fighter, since right now most people playing the Russia side are lower levels who don’t really know how to play and are just getting farmed by 4th gens, and they are only playing Russia because of the insane queue times for the US. Also maybe remove the F14s as well. Especially the IRIAF.
If they keep this mode they could expand it down to lower BR’s so we could have the B-29 as the nuke carrier. Would also open the door up for some more nuclear armaments limited to this mode.
Although instead of having 2 versions of the nuke carriers, one with a nuke and one without, they could just have the one version and block players from flying with the nuke outside of this mode.
IRIAF is removed.
If you think the F-14A or B are a problem you have crippling skill issues
This mode is still a bit unbalanced, as can be seen from the queue numbers. I think removing the F-14 or adding the Su-27 back would solve the problem.
I would like to get one of the bombers, but don’t know which one to get. Any suggestions on which one would be better after the event?
This would be great though too it would add help in making engaging players and it’s so fun and we already have it built
When I last played last night the IRIAF was still in so I did not know it is gone now. Also fox 3s against strike aircraft and fighters with only fox 1s is definitely a bit unfair. This is the reason they banned the 13.0 harrier. And this is not a “skill issue” since I have been playing exclusively the USA side with the F14s on my team.
Not every nation would have a proper nuke bomber or fighter though
The Phoenix is a skill check missile. Nothing more. If it hits its because the target let it.
you can say that about any missile
you can always drop a US F-4E or MiG-23/Su-24 in the lineup for those that don’t, not a massive problem
