Planned Battle Rating changes (table updated 04.08.2023)

T-44 100 is made in 1945,and the BR-412D is made in 1953.

That’s the whole point he is making with the T-34-100 and T-44-100.

Edit: I should point out that both tanks were also scrapped before BR-412D was introduced in 1953, so they at no point in their existence could’ve fired it.

For my part it would be great to make a balance based on the year of entry into service of the tanks, and also of the bullets.

Not to mention the T-54-49 just got HEATFS.

Yeah? I didn’t say the rule is “any ammo a gun can ever fire ever has to be added”

Devs still decide when something needs X ammo, but the max ammo a vehicle can get has to be something it has to be able to fire.

The T32 having more armor doesn’t matter because those tanks are at lower BRs, face guns with lower penetration, have better guns and still get to fight tanks they can easily kill.

no shit, nobody claimed they were the same BR. I’m saying the T32 has a LOT more armor than these tanks AND has a turret… of course it will be a much higher BR. It can’t be downtiered to where it mostly faces tanks it can’t be killed by, simply not how this works.

If the T32 can fire these rounds, prove it. I did a quick search and could not find any correlation.

This would be terrible. It would invalidate most tanks.

It seems like a lot of people here do not understand that pretty much an entire BR bracket is getting decompressed and moving up. This is the 3rd BR update since the decompression has started. The first one was top tier only, then they decompressed the bracket below that. Now Gaijin is decompressing the last bracket that much needed it. The 9.0-7.0 bracket. Every move in BR is not going to be perfect, but after this decompression happens there will be more room to make minor adjustments where it’s needed the most. I hope after this BR update we will see another one within 2 months so they can do some fine tuning. Overall, these adjustments look great to me.

Not balanced, also more compression. You need to get a better idea.

F-104J is superior to F-1 in every way.

@AlvisWisla

lmao no. I don’t know the exact acceleration times or exact top speeds of either, but both go over 1300kph on the deck regarding that, and the F-1 is massively more agile than the F-104J.

It doesn’t matter that the T32 has more armor. The Tiger II H has far more turret armor than the Tiger II P and only gets a .3 BR bump because of it. The P is vulnerable to many tanks at its BR. The Tiger II H is out right immune to those same tanks but only goes up 1/3rd of a BR. The T32 also trades rate of fire for turret armor.

Find me proof of the T-34-100 firing BR-412D or the T-54-49 firing HEATFS.

Which tanks? As much as I think, I couldn’t say which ones.

These changes just read terrible overall for me. Everything gets pushed up, the Leopard 1 gets an uptier that it does not deserve AT ALL, multiple existing lineups just flat out get destroyed (Looking at you Swedish 7.7), meanwhile it is not actually addressing the main issue of the BR compression which is the massive jump in vehicle capability over a very short span of time in the 6.7-87 bracket. All this change does is give 6.7 a little bit of a break (Which it desperately needed) and fuck over literally any tank above the current 8.0 BR by compressing those BRs so much, it’s not even funny.

What we really need is a BR ceiling of 12.7 (Preferably even 13.7) and then a proper decompression all the way from 5.7 moving up. Pair that with a Matchmaking change to only use a 0.7 Spread and it will give most vehicles an actual fighting chance again. This attempt at decompression will make things generally worse rather than better.

And all of this is before we even talk about the rather weird fact that the only vehicles to get changes to their reload were Russian and Chinese.

After all the progress the game made during the last few months will be (imo) pretty much useless if there will be no viable higher BRs that are still playable due to over-compression.

You should not advocate for more compression.

I’m not defending the idea of the T32 getting APDS or HEAT, I just find it to be very much a bit pile of bullshit how Gaijin gives tanks rounds that they could never even had the chance to fire IRL, but then tanks that actually fired rounds end up not getting said rounds in the game.

And the examples I gave aren’t even game breaking. I’m not asking X tank with a 105 mm to have M900. The Italian M26A1 already fires “late” M82 at 853 m/s, and it is very clearly not broken or overpowered.

It just ends up just being a massive mess of double standards that makes me dislike this game just a tad bit more.

Suggestions:
Move ju-288s to 6.3/6.7 because it has ruined axis 5.0/6.0 air rb.

Object 120 to 8.0 because of the APFSDS or remove it to warrant a 7.7 rating.

Xp-50 to 4.3 is a menace to fight, even in 5.0 rating. Currently, it faces 3.0/3.3 without any difficulties.

I do think an increase to 12.0 for ground is the right answer, but 12.7 and 13.7 is insane.

The T32 can be perfectly in a BR a little higher than the tiger 2b, in the same BR as the tiger 2 105 and in a BR a little lower than the maus, but to the maus remove the APDSHE bullet from that one.

I’m not really advocating for it. I’m just tired of the “not historical” argument being used in one way. Especially when it’s clearly not being applied to other trees.

All RB

Vampire FB/A28B (all variants) 8.0 → 7.3
They’re too slow to be usable in 9.0 games. the acceleration is very poor and all they have going for them is their outstanding manouverability.

G.91 Y(S) → 9.3/7 → 9.0
An old topic that STILL remains unchanged. this aircraft does just over 0.9 mach on the deck, has poor missile armament, and it gets matched with aircraft that have EVERYTHING going for them over the G.91 Y(S). Flares, potent missiles, speed, all of that.

Mirage IIIC 10.3 → 10.0
There is absolutely no reason to fly this thing over the IIIE that sits at the same battle rating. The C has no countermeasures, a worse radar, and a less powerful engine. If the Mirage 5F can be a flareless mirage at 10.0, the IIIC can too.

M.D.450B (FRA/ISR) 7.7 → 7.3
Making room for the next few planes to get moved down without invalidating this aircraft or making it overpowered. It is already a 7.3 plane at 7.7.

M.D.452 IIA 8.0 → 7.7
The guns, even after the removal of realshatter are absolutely terrible. The performance is workable but turns far worse than the M.D.452 IIC. It’s not too fast, it can be shot down by 7.0 aircraft that play right.

M.D.452 IIC 8.3 → 8.0
It’s an IIA with a slightly better engine, slightly better dogfight performance and the whole reason it’s higher? DEFAs. This plane suffers BADLY, cursed by its matchmaker. Nearly every game, you are fighting F-104s and MiG-19s you have no hope of catching or killing in any situation. Yes, it would be very strong vs 7.0 in the right hands, but it needs to be playable.

F4U-7 (FRA) 6.0 → 5.7
Basically a F4U-4B with more suspended armament. No reason for this thing to be facing jet aircraft being equivalent in terms of performance and guns to a 5.7 aircraft.

Mystere IVA 8.7 → 8.3
Suffers from a terrible matchmaker and pretty subpar performance. The only real things going for it are instantaneous turn, guns and the funny nords. However, if you make much of a turn, you will have shit 200kmh and it accelerates quite poorly. There is no reason for this to face 9.7 games every match. I genuinely hate this thing at 8.7.

XP-50 4.0 → 4.7
Busted US interceptor #1, bully everything in your BR range by simply being higher up than literally everyone! Nobody has any hope of doing anything to you because you can even OUTTURN some of them as well as having so much more energy! Buy XP-50 for GE NOW!!!

P-61C-1 4.0 → 4.3
Busted US interceptor #2, gets a high airspawn, has very tanky DM and that annoying turret that nobody likes to deal with. Great armament, both offensive and defensive. 3.0 does not need to see this thing.

F-104G (ITA/CHN) 10.7 → 10.3
Chinese has no CM, Italian has far inferior weaponry. They’d be fine at 10.3, still the same BnZers as they always were.

A-10A (E), A-6E TRAM, Su-25K 10.0 → 10.3 maybe 10.7
You should know this one already.

the f4u 7 is in my opinion just an attacker classed as a fighter its armor and updated corsair model just makes this thing a bus to fly
