Planned Battle Rating Changes (October 2026) — Aircraft and Ground Vehicle Decompression

You know exactly the nuance I’m talking about mate. Of course there is a right time to push and a right time not to. But Pz IVs play mostly like TDs and face exactly the same drawbacks, including limited ability to influence the match, such that even Italian players going out of their way to buy their premium Pz IV do much better with the Sherman anyway. Throw it to a bunch of people who have barely started playing the game and you have the recipe that produces Tiger Timmy’s.

But that would be an actually sensible change.

Naval BR decompression needed: Cruiser vs. Battleship matchmaking is broken

We urgently need Battle Rating decompression for Naval Battles. The 5.0 – 6.0 BR bracket has become completely unplayable for cruisers and destroyers.

Currently, light and heavy cruisers at BR 6.0 are constantly being uptiered against Battleships and Battlecruisers at 6.7 – 7.0. Ships like Myōkō at 6.0 stand absolutely no chance against dreadnoughts. The penetration values on cruiser guns are simply not enough to bypass battleship armor. If you try to close the distance to around 10km to even have a minor chance of doing damage, you get instantly deleted by their primary battery.

To make matters worse, the current map rotation heavily favors battleships with open spawns and lack of cover, leaving cruisers as nothing but target practice from the very start of the match. Furthermore, certain 6.0 premium ships (especially French and German ones) are completely dominating this bracket, worsening the balance issues.

We want to play against comparable opponents where skill matters, not to be non-stop food for top-tier capital ships. Please, increase the maximum BR for battleships and decompress the naval matchmaker.

Wouldn’t it make sense to give SPAA a top BR of 14.0? I know, the top BR for ground is 13.3 but, what with CAS having a top BR of 14.0 in ground, I think it makes a ton of sense to base the BR of SPAA around that rather than the top BR for tanks.

For example: the F-16XL will move to a new GRB of 13.0. This means it will sit only one BR step below the SM-SV and sit at the same BR as the NASAMS (yes, it will fight the Swedish variant). The crazy flight model helps some but, at the same time, all you have is basic thermal-less mavs and dumb-bombs; not really competitive weaponry for what it has to face.

These new BR changes just shows how out of touch the devs are with their game, especially Air RB and how they have no conception of why some jets do better than others. The cac sabre is the newest example of this. This jet going up to 9.3 is a joke. It will be just another subsonic jet at 9.3 chasing and competing with things it has no business doing.

The reason this sabre is doing so well at the moment, is not because it’s OP, as in a 1v1 the CL13B is stronger yet that sits at 9.0 still. It is because it’s a legacy jet, late to the game that is a good strong 9.0 jet that has peaked interest in all the best players, and so of course it will perform well. It’s being flown by the best.

Do the devs really think that this sabre is in the same bracket as a Mig19, F106 and an Ariete? It’s not. This is exactly what happened to the g91 Y. It was a fun jet that is able to hold it’s own and so the best players play it and it performs well. The polar opposite of why bad jets do badly, because only new players play them and good players leave them alone so they underperform and get a BR reduction. Su7, 104 etc

Air Rb is so stale right now for OG players or anyone who wants to do well in the game and as soon as something comes into the game that is decent or fun, Gaijin destroy it. Literally taking the Fun out of Warthunder.

Stop balancing off spreadsheets (btw, we’re not getting any decompression here, we are getting new vehicles that will be too strong for the current BR’s, so gaijin announce a BR increase weeks before a new major update and call it decompression trying to appease the player base and we all fall for it. This will do absolutely nothing for decompression as we saw last time this happened as mid BR range is still compressed beyond belief. 163 in same lobby as radar guided missiles  )

EF-2000/Typhoon FGR.4/F-2000A (none AESA]
Mode: GRB
Change: 13.0 → 14.0 → 13.7

Reason: while they share a lot of the AESA versions, their radar (CAPTOR-M) is significantly worse and they also don’t have access to Spice-250; as such, they shouldn’t be the same BR as the AESA versions in GRB.

they could do BR 20.0 and we would still have issues… the issue itself is simply because of the ridiculous stone paper scissors mechanic… there will never be a balanced Modern CAS vs Tank fight… NEVER

Autoloader doesn’t matter if its slow lmao, These tanks got terrible mobility and adequate armor

Su-30 Mk2 / Su-30 MKK Should be br.14.0

I don’t think the Tonkas are healthy persay, but that the solution isnt a BR drop in ARB/NE

BL755 coming next major though should be a massive buff for them

Vehicle: AV-8s

Mode: Air Realistic

Change: AIM-9P → AIM-9G

Reason: These missiles are useless further than 2km away. dont stand a chance vs AV-8A

B-52H
ARB/ GRB
8.7 → 8.0~8.3

Even after the bomber DM buffs the B52 is in a horrendously sad state. Yes it has a good bomb load but thats about the end of it. Having no access to FPE makes it especially annoying since one single .50 cal can start the eternal flame on your wing, basically guaranteeing death

Undodgeable aams at 9.0 is bad imo, people were complaining about thr aim7c when the shaf 2 is worse

But you have negative KD with it. :/

9.3… Why not 11.3 or 12.3 while you’re at it ?

Leaving the Moderna at 10.7, while not the most ideal decision, would hardly be a disaster.

It’s nowhere near capable enough to be opressive.

MW1 for the Win :3

Its just silver- see Kfir going to 11.3, as thats the main thing that can effect GJs ££.

IAR 81 DB605 should not go to 3.3
