Planned Battle Rating Changes (October 2026) — Aircraft and Ground Vehicle Decompression

Vehicle: Mirage 2000-5EG & Mirage 2000-5EI
Gamemode: Ground realistic
BR Change: 12.7 → 13.3
Reason: Unlike french Mirage 2000-5F, Israeli and taiwanese versions of mirage do not offer any anti ground capabilities at all and thus should not share same BR as french Mirage, which is proposed for 13.7.

German main skill issue. Leopard 2k deserved increased BR long ago. Bad German players are the only reason why better 2k was sitting lower than worse Soviet 10.3

Vehicle: MiG-29N
Mode: Air Realistic
BR Change: Keep BR as is; do not change
Reason: This aircraft is already the weakest in BR13.3. It has a low weapon capacity, inferior RWR and radar, and limited CM. Why does this aircraft need to be raised to BR13.7? Currently, the MiG-29N and J-11A are the only aircraft with a BR higher than 13.3 that are required to use the SPO-15 RWR. Should aircraft equipped with an RWR that cannot identify enemy aircraft and can only provide a rough direction be placed in the same BR as the F-16C? This is a completely unnecessary change.

All missiles with a seeker shut off IRCCM have head on flare rejection. The gatewidth IRCCM misssiles don’t. If your DIY head tracker uses accelerometers it might work just fine. I seriously doubt that a camera based system is not accurate enough and has too much delay. I certainly haven’t been able to setup mine in such a way. Yes, if I try real hard I can track a target while not manouvering but not while manouvering in a dogfight, And the huge HMD deadzone makes it all the more difficult. I turn off mine always to not have it hinder my visibility. Of course I could enable my monitor crosshair and use that instead to bypass the deadzone issue at least, but it would be cluttering my view even more than the HMD symbology.

They could go 13.0 and they wouldnt struggle even slightly

Though seems to be broken currently, but that might be Buggy Escalation. Ive not played ARB since the last major update and so dont know if its just NE or a gamewide issue, But defiently had 9Ms go for flares in a headon instantly in NE

Another proof that the developer doesn’t play their own game. Is this the so-called ‘decompression’? When they move fighter jets up in BR, but AA systems by just 0.3? Good lord… what are they doing to this game…

Sure but the 2A5s are at 12.7 as well so it has to at least be on par in BR, makes no sense that the 2A5 being objectively worse with reload and mobility is of a higher BR but I digress.

Vehicle: Kfir Canard
Game Mode: Air Realistic
BR Change: 11.3 (after change) → 10.7
This aircraft has been in a difficult position ever since the BR change about two years ago. Raising its BR to 11.3 despite being equipped with only two Aim-9G missiles and 280 rounds of DEFA ammunition is a change that disregards gameplay. If asked what advantages this aircraft has over BR 11.0 and 11.3, the only answer—aside from the MiG-25—is its speed; it lacks even SARH or powerful IRAAMs.
The J-7D, equipped with the PL-5 and PL-7, is ranked at BR 10.7. Since there are so few areas where these aircraft have an advantage over the J-7D, their BR should at the very least remain unchanged.

12.3 is 100% under BRed

Come on Gaijin, there is really no need to increase the BR of the CA-27.
The CL-13B Mk.6 is comparable in every aspect except for the guns imo.
Why is the CL-13B Mk.6 not going up? Are german pilots that bad?
The possibility of constantly facing much more superior supersonic jets like MiG-21 SMT and F8U-2 turns players away from the aircraft.
It’s the second coming of the G-91Y.

Vehicle: AH-1W (USA and China)
Gamemode: Ground realistic
BR Change: 11.0 → 11.3
Reason: While forgetful heli it has similair weapon kit to contemporary helis such as A129CBT and Tiger HAD, whilst weakest it will be much better than T129 which is proposed to 11.0. Thus I believe 11.3 would be fair, especially if it is given HEAT laser hydras or zunis as gimmick to differentiate it even further without need to sacrifice hellfires.

I disagree, heli has currently unfixed bugs with its FM, while having pretty bad zoom to utilize hellfires to the fullest. (and sight being on the nose instead of roof). I’d say its too gimmicky while being too mid…

Gamemode: Air Realistic Battles
Vehicle: Yak-3U
BR Change: 5.7 → 6.0

Again with this. The Yak-3U, ever since the Lf MkIX has moved up, has been eating 5.7’ers great. Only a few planes can reliably match up to its prowess in ARB. There are barely any planes below nor of equal BR hat can match up against it, and most of its opposition that have reliably ways of dealing with it are 0.3/0.7 above it.

For example assuming only 6.0 below, the US has the F8F (A full BR lower by the way and somehow stays at 4.7) , P-38K, F4U-4B, and F2G. Germany has none, the Ta-152h gets smothered, Only the LF is reliable enough to keep pace with it, the tempests nor the Griffon spits can’t. Japan’s only real leverage is hope that it dogfights them, China has NONE (Ki-84 ko is clobbered), Italy has NONE, France only has the F4U-7, Sweden has none, Israel only has a premium LF against it.

EVEN THEN, the Yak-3U’s incredible jack of all trades, master of everything ability has a counter for every single one of these planes. There’s no hope against a Yak-3U player besides hoping he deliberately misplays or incredibly team coordination (good luck if you’re solo-q)

PLEASE put this thing up. You can even put the La-9 down since that thing’s middling at 6.0

Vehicle: AH Lynx & G-Lynx
Gamemode: Ground realistic
BR Change: 10.7 → 11.0
Reason: Proposed to 11.3 but it would be completely outclassed by other helis at that BR, as kit it has is comparable to A-129 (p) international that resides at 11.0. Lack of MAW or gun turret is large downside that should not be overlooked so easily.

you mean the T-64BVM & T-72B & B’89, that stayed while everything was upped .3 across the board ?
those three are solid MBT’s with both armour and firepower, the only thing the 2K has is mobility over those three. also no mention of the similary capable 10.3 chinese ZTZ96A.
so basically more food for them and less toptier adversaries.

Genuinely dumb those things didnt move up.

I completely agree with this point. Increasing BRs across the board doesn’t necessarily solve the matchmaking problem; in some cases, it can make things even worse for certain vehicles.

Take the Leopard 2A4 as an example. At 10.7, it could already face 11.7 vehicles in a full uptier. If its BR is increased to 11.0 while stronger vehicles are also moved up, it could still end up fighting much more advanced tanks, potentially at 12.3,12.7.

Another major issue is its ammunition. The DM23 round is simply not sufficient against many of the more advanced vehicles it can encounter. If the Leopard 2A4 is expected to fight these opponents, it should receive access to a better APFSDS round, such as DM33, plus more, to make it more competitive.

The problem isn’t simply the BR numbers themselves, but the performance gap between vehicles. Older tanks shouldn’t have to fight significantly more advanced opponents without receiving the tools needed to compete.

BR decompression should create meaningful separation between vehicles of different capabilities, not just increase the numbers on the scoreboard. If the Leopard 2A4 is going to face stronger opponents, its ammunition and overall effectiveness should be taken into consideration as well.

I dont want to turn this into another one of those threads, but seeing as how you perform on average, i dont think its your problem is with the 2A4.

Since everything around 2A4 moved up as well, it is literally a non issue.

This Mig-29N is on the same BR as the F‑16, which don’t even have an HUD.
What makes you think it should stay at 13.3 while the F‑16 are being raised to 13.7?
