But if person A is deadset on claiming that 18C early is bad plane and has sub 1 KD on it while person B says its fine and has KD of nearly 3 with it, should person A either
a) ask himself “is there a possibility i am doing something wrong” or
b) call everyone stupid because he possibly cant be doing something wrong
?
At the end of the day, “skill” translates to how well person understands something. Thats really all there is to it.
Don’t forget, these same people with their humongous egos tend to get those personal high ratings by playing a very niche vehicle sets and pray upon other unbalanced vehicles such as the F/A-18C Early, that’s why they’re so devoted to gaslighting people online about the balancing situation of these vehicles because they know they’ve got no shot in real challenges thereby their numbers will go down if they face a real challenge and their ego following it.
I won’t deny that your stats are impressive, and I play with a friend regularly who has these stats:
…and also teaches me.
You clearly understand the game at a level I don’t yet. But here’s the thing: just because you can make the plane work, doesn’t automatically mean the plane is objectively on par with its competitors (i.e. survivorship bias). I’m not saying F/A-18C is unplayable. I’m saying that for an average or below average player like me, going against planes with better tools means I have to work 10x harder just to break even. Some planes just sit at BRs where they are objectively outclassed.
Cue about a month or so back where I was trying to farm the F-16XL event… in a Tornado IDS WTD61, and bemoaning how bad it was. I was doing everything I was told, but the fact was - I was getting shoved against SARH missiles I could barely dodge with a 3-9 because the plane turns like a bus…
no they can’t. because this game is based on meta gaming, not competitive balancing and matchmaking, hence why we don’t have a ranking system based match making till this point in the game after so many years. you’re just wrong.
the way they choose and decide to add which vehicles and how, to which nations also supports this.
True, but I’m saying that some are just outclassed. What advantage does the Tornado have? To my understanding, only that it has speed and a bunch of chaff, but its turn rate is frankly atrocious.
You misunderstand. “I have to work 10x harder” doesn’t mean “I give up” if that makes sense. If I have to sweat, micromanage my speed, and perfectly execute a notch just to survive a single missile, while the enemy just points their crosshair at me and clicks, I wouldn’t say that’s a fair fight. I guess you could say I just picked a bad class or a bad comparison, after all I play strike aircraft in a fighter meta…
Oh man I can’t wait to have the Swiss F/A-18C it’s so cool! I just hope it lives up to the hype. Even with decompression it shouldn’t get uptiered too much right?
Bit of a shameless self plug but give this a read. I will be updating it in light of sparrow buff (and now due to BR chnages i have to rework the update again) but you should find some tips and tricks there to help you.
After BR chnages, full uptier will now mean MK2/MKK (or 13.7 planes in general) should be limited to 4 planes per team, which is entirely managable as premium hornets sensors are currently 14.0 material at 12.7. i think out of all SARH planes, only F-2A ADTW has better radar but i still like hornet more due to 7Ps.
You oughta have some fun as long as you keep your speed and alt.
The M26 absolutely should go down in BR, superior variants like the M26E1, T26E1-1 and T26E5 are at the same BR basically making the regular M26 pointless. Additionally it isn’t a match for other 6.7 vehicles like the Tiger 2 or even the T44 since it is slow like a heavy tank without having the firepower and armor of one. Also got asked for many times and seemingly ignored sadly.
