The issues is that they are gonna eat the 9.3s that got bumped to 9.7. Thats what they did for months on release and it’s about to be an issue again.
I agree with moving it to 9.3 Dont think it should go to 9.7, alongside the MBT-70 tho as it lacks the 20mm and technically has very slightly worse mobility and armor.
Hell no. Especially not with pretty much all early helicopters and useable CAS being raised.
Really? I played the stock version after the AMV came out and found it pretty bad. Mediocre missiles, only fires one at a time, and worst of all, it takes a few seconds to launch a follow up
Why are jets like the mirage 2k s4/5 going up in br in ground? they only carry dumb bombs?
Mig35 has better performance than f15c this is known by all. And the missiles pull harder.
What are you on?
absolutely not… chaparal is garbage and the folder lets players skip it
They are dodgeable unless you are quite slow
I played it earlier through the free random SPAA and it was just fine. The missile isn’t as good as a Roland, but it doesn’t alert planes when launched, and helicopters are completely hopeless to counter it. It can’t be flared, and it can’t be chaffed either since it tracks with IRST.
It should not be facing early SACLOS helicopters or planes with no ballistics computers and no guided ordinance.
9.3 cuz it’'s an OP aircraft. I was going to put it at 9.0 but since BR decompression is happening and most of the SPAA went up, im gona put it at 9.3 to adjust to the decompression.
Vehicles: AMX 30DCA and Falcon
Mode: Ground RB
Suggestion: Keep at 8.3
Reason: Logically they are worse than Gepards going at 8.7 with worse penetration, no APDS, no stabilizer.
Vehicle: Commandant Domine
Mode : RB and AB
Suggestion: Move to 3.0, spawn with boats, place at rank III.
Reason: The vehicle is a slightly longer Aconit with only a 105mm main gun. It cannot fight back with Clemsons or Frunze or any entry level 3.3 destroyer. In terms of frigates, the HMS Spey fields two 102mm guns, instead of only one.
Vehicle: PT-76B
Change: 5.3 → 5.7/6.0, have its HEAT-FS more accurate (as accurate as other rounds) and buff its damage, make APHE/HEAT a stock round.
Reasoning: This thing is FRUSTRATING to both fight in and fight against due to its huge inconsistency as it both totally negates open-tops with full two-plane stab and negates any armor at its own BR. HOWEVER, there is an issue present that BK-354M has poor accuracy (being a heatfs, requiring MORE accuracy to do well against enemy with armor present, i think you could already trace the problem there), and its post-pen is rather uhhhh… Well, to say the least, crap, as it might often not ammorack on a direct ammo hit. So with buffed HEAT round and a BR increase we could both make it less frustrating (as it wouldn’t have the issue of stupid situations in cases when player does all things right) and not make it that frustrating to face in low-tier heavy tanks.
Worse radar
Is slower (literally hits a wall when reaching mach 1)
Less missiles
Less countermeasures
Flight performance isn’t everything, it hasn’t been for ages (If that were the case you wouldn’t be rating the Su-30SM so high : ). )
Vehicle: A-5C
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR Change: Keep at 10.7 — do not increase to 11.0
Reason: Raising the A-5C from 10.7 to 11.0 would be difficult to justify when its air-to-air capabilities and combat flexibility are compared with dedicated fighters at the same BR. The A-5C is primarily an attacker with limited air-to-air armament, rather than a fighter designed to compete with more capable supersonic interceptors.
Its most important limitation is its missile loadout. The A-5C relies on just two Matra R550 Magic 1 missiles for air-to-air combat. Although these missiles can be extremely dangerous against unaware opponents at close range, carrying only two means that the aircraft has very limited opportunities to secure kills. Once both missiles have been expended, the pilot must rely on the aircraft’s guns or disengage. Missing a single missile, encountering a flare-aware opponent, or being forced to defend against multiple enemies can significantly reduce its combat effectiveness.
The A-5C also has to contend with aircraft that offer stronger overall fighter performance, better interception capabilities, or more flexible air-to-air armament. Increasing its BR does not improve its limited missile count or remove its disadvantages in sustained engagements. Instead, it exposes the aircraft to a more demanding matchmaking environment without addressing the limitations of its design.
The J-7D is a more appropriate candidate for an increase to 11.0. As a fighter derived from the MiG-21 family, it is designed around interception and air combat rather than ground attack. Its high-speed performance, strong acceleration and climb characteristics, and fighter-oriented weapon options make it a more natural fit for a higher BR than the A-5C. Its ability to carry a larger selection of air-to-air weapons, depending on the loadout, also gives it greater flexibility when engaging different opponents.
The issue is not that the A-5C is incapable of performing well at 10.7. It can be dangerous in the right circumstances, particularly when it exploits its missiles against distracted enemies. However, occasional effectiveness against unaware opponents should not automatically justify a BR increase. Balance should account for the aircraft’s overall capabilities, limitations, and ability to respond to different combat situations.
Moving the A-5C to 11.0 while leaving the J-7D below that BR would risk placing the less versatile aircraft in a more difficult matchmaking bracket without a sufficiently clear performance-based justification.
Alternative solution: Keep the A-5C at 10.7 and move the J-7D to 11.0. If statistics indicate that the A-5C genuinely overperforms at 10.7, its performance should be evaluated using battle rating-specific win rates, average kills per battle, player skill distribution, and actual matchmaking results before an increase is implemented.
BR changes should distinguish between an aircraft that can occasionally achieve excellent results and one that possesses consistently superior combat capabilities. The A-5C’s limited air-to-air loadout and attacker-oriented design should be taken into account before placing it at 11.0.
PT-76 is not an issue. The HEATFS is 76mm and barely pens more than other vehicle at the br
if you are getting frustrated fighting a PT-76 then that’s a massive skill issue
I have played every tree except Sweden up to 12.7 and Britain doesn’t have it nearly as bad as the British mains want everyone to believe (same goes for French mains).
British mains want everyone to believe they have to play darksoul levels of difficulty, but while not a major nation, the tree is quite consistent and easy enough.
But I suspect that is all part of also wanting to continue to overhype themselfs as players.
200mm of pen, which also mostly ignores slopes, at a BR where most tanks have 150mm pen is not “barely pens more.” The pen isn’t what makes it strong though. It’s also fully stabilized at 5.3, has a 5 second reload, and faces a lot of open tops which are especially screwed by HEAT.
It’s certainly in the annoying tier rather than the overpowered tier though.
He said frustrated. That implies he’s immensely irritated and mad about facing it. It’s annoying when it hits you and poops your driver, but the PT-76 player who got .50 cal’d by a Sherman feels the same way. It certainly doesn’t need 5.7 or 6.0
Mode : Ground Realistic Battles
Vehicle : 2S38:
Change : 10.7 → 11.0
Reasoning : Gaijin often seems to omit Soviet vehicles from its lists.
