Reason: The F/A-18E one of the worst aircraft judging by top speed. While Rafale C3 climbing to 6k with 1900km/h F/A-18E barelly reach 1400. And while most launches aim-120-c5 from start with rafale gives you kills, launch from F/A-18E at 1400 most time dont give you anything.

that sit at 12.7 and 13.0

AIM-120C7 = AIM-120C5.
The F/A-18E should just be 14.3 or 14.0 and the F/A-18C could be 13.7
The F/A-18E is literally arguably worse than the F/A-18C for Air RB.

It has an improved rocket motor which means it is faster and has more range

Returning it to TIII will allow the British to once again have a single engine option for the inevitable torpedo challenges. Doing the tasks in a large twin, even a Mosquito, is just too painful.

It’s really sad that all this plane does is go fast in a straight line and it only has two good missiles with the rest being nigh useless. It could get R-73 and keep the R-27ER and still be 12.7 to be honest.
