Not only is it strictly superior to F-4EJ at the same BR (better missiles, better RWR, better flight performance, guided air-to-ground weaponry) it also outclasses every other plane with radar missiles until 11.3, where MiG-23s with HALF AS MANY SARH missiles appear. It also outclasses every attacker at 10.7 being faster, with better air-to-ground weaponry, and the ability to keep its strongest missiles (AIM-7E-2) regardless of how many AGM-65s/AGM-62/GBU-8s it brings.
Strong? I started playing ground very recently and used ruski because it was said to be strong… 1 pop in turret by all…and I mean all.
Switched back to GB, Il suffer with my own nation.
Since the F-15A is moving down, shouldn’t the F-2A, Gripen A, F-16A (Belgian), Mirage 4000, every 13.0 harrier, or the J-8F be moving down to 12.7 too?
None of those planes are considerably better, and several are worse than the F-15A. Shouldn’t they move down to make the game more fair?
Spoiler
This is a joke making fun of gaijins balance, I don’t want them moved down.
Hello! Thanks for sharing the planned battle rating changes for January 2026 and giving us a chance to give feedback.
I have one suggestion regarding high-tier aircraft research:
Issue:
Currently the Eurofighter Typhoon / EF-2000 (or equivalent jets like F-2000A in the Italian tree) appear in multiple separate slots in different nations’ trees. This means players who want to play top-tier with similar aircraft in different nations must research essentially the same airframe multiple times, spending ~400,000 RP for each nation’s version. This is repetitive and inefficient, especially since the performance and role of these jets are nearly identical.
Suggestion:
Please consider combining EF-2000/Eurofighter research into a single research cell (shared unlock) across nations that use this airframe. This would:
Reduce duplicate research grind for aircraft with nearly identical performance
Encourage more diverse high-tier air gameplay
Lower entry cost for players who already have similar jets researched
This approach would make progressing aircraft trees more enjoyable and efficient without reducing the value of content or gating progression.
Even giving it 9X won’t be any helpful since other plane would get there respective next gen IR and a better 14.3 US jet (F-15C GE) would also get them. I see no logic behind this
Ah but every other vehicle at that BR won’t randomly troll you with the drivers hatch.
The Panzer 4, also a quite egregiously undertiered tank, at least has the good grace to die when you shoot it practically anywhere. Unless you’re running solid shot, in which case you’ve not helped yourself.
I mean they’re both such niche planes anyway, like the AGS they’re only ever used by people that know what they’re doing. Again, the Sag may be nimble and have great guns but that’s all it has going for it
Currently the american F-5E sits at the same BR as the swiss F-5E meanwhile having a much worse radar with not even any IFF, giving it much lower situational awareness.
On top of that, it’s much slower and weaker in armament than most opponents it faces.
It’s terrible for ground attack since it has no ground ballistics computers, which also makes using it’s mavericks a chore since you can’t designate targets on your map and have to manually find them on the camera or point your nose at them.
The F-5E at 11.0 could fill a good gap for the NATO side in sim since Russia/China dominate that br range with the MiG-21bis and J-7D/E.
Reason: The F-16A OCU has Magic II and Aim-9Ms which potentially gives this F-16A one of the strongest WVR loadouts in-game currently and should be placed with direct equivalents such as the F-16A (Belgium) armed with 6x Aim-9M. It definitely doesn’t belong at the same BR as the Netz (or even a lower BR than the Netz in SB)
Same for the AMX-30 DCA. Hopefully it will move down to 8.0/8.3 now that it’s much weaker, but I wouldn’t be surprised if gaijin nerfed it and didn’t change it at all.
