Im using december 2025 stats to try and use as fair recent data as possible.
china TT 1944 and USSR TT 1944 are the best comparison but other IS2 options are all else i have to make this russia main stop putting his fingers in his ears when told that a russian tank is balanced well.
a K/D of 1 is sadly good in this game. only the top 500 tanks for K/D actually have above a 1K/D. thats not even half. can check for yourself on statshark, if you remove event vehicles the situation is even more dire
Fair enough, the Chinese IS-2 (1944) is probably the best for representing it’s actual performance as it’s a still available TT vehicle and China doesn’t have the “major nation” syndrome that USA, USSR and Germany get.
That said the IS-2s reload, even max- experted is frustrating, when you switch from the IS-2 to the Tiger 2 it feels like you are using an autocannon.
I do think you need to take minor nation stats with a grain of salt of course. but generally they are better at showing where vehicles should be.
Only issue is that they are facing the major nation noobs so naturally get statpadded.
reduce that reload and it gets moved higher up. I dont think any of us want the IS2 matchmaking to be korean war larp facing mk3 centurions day to day.
Should we take it with a grain of salt? You always say Brit’s are better than every other player. Yet, me, a Russian main has a better KDr in the Fox, and that was post its first set of nerfs that I got it. Or second? I can’t remember when the turret traverse and the engine was changed. That’s when I got it.
Also, you just proved your own argument invalid. “ major nation noobs so naturally get statpadded” so those “major nation noobs” that are facing clearly better vehicles are doing that good with a and tank (IS-2) jeez I guesss Russian players are really good
imo the IS-2 is fine, it can punch through basically whatever it wants at the cost of being fragile and having a long downtime. Its a tank killer, and its good at that. I guess you could argue that the super pershing also exists, but thats technically also .3 higher, so, i think the IS-2 is fine as is, and any reload buff would need to be met with a .3-.7 uptier depending how much
hes not wrong, as someone whos grinded all of american top tier and german mid tier, and i have friends who have chinese, british, swedish, and japan done, i can say this much;
minor nations tend to have much more people who actually played the game before, or atleast people who have higher levels, more experience, or are even just have more common sense
major nations have MUCH more “hold w and left click at bad guy!!” (hence how infamously smart american mains are at top tier, and how dumb BMPT players are and still winning)
tldr; its not a 100% statistic, but its not so much minor nation players are above average, its more that they are average, and major nation players are really really really dumb
Is it possible to dislike a comment? This guy doens’t seem to keep his ideas in mind for long enough to finish an argument. I.E the Chieftain 900 is claimed to be just a quicker Mk. 5 as he complains about the Mk. 5 lacking features of more advanced Chieftains. Get a grip, man.
there are some advantages imo, like the IS-2 having arguably better armor (from volumetric and weird angles), or that it doesnt have the vertical drive outside of the gun, but then again the IS-2 is technically 6.3, which does account for its longer reload.
