magic2 is actually more flare rsistant
smaller base FOV and I think the seeker shrinks the moment you get a lock instead of after leaving the rail like R-73

for the rest of it,… as a M4K player i told you that 12.3-12.7 are Outturning outrating you quite easily,… which makes Magic-2 unable to be locked on anything that is turning with you.

Why is it equal in performance to the 8x Magic II that the M4K has? And ontop of that you do actually get short ranged BVR missiles you can choose to take. The Netz doesnt even get that much.

Let me explain: everyone who has played with it knows that the main weapons are missiles, of which there are six… But anyone who has played with it and owns it will tell you that it is practically impossible to use them all. Solely because of them, the glider, designed in the mid-1950s, has to fight enemies that surpass it in flight characteristics. Practically anyone can outmaneuver it in a steady climb, and I’m talking about 9.7-10.0 fighters, which I’ve only seen three times in 70 battles. Any maneuver = loss of speed (and it has no acceleration dynamics, comparable only to the 9.3/9.7 models). Without it, it’s just fodder with excellent flight characteristics on paper, but in practice, even an attack aircraft from the same 9.7-10.0 models can outmaneuver it. Aim 9J(P) - let’s be honest, it’s useless on such a glider, with practically 0 benefit, and the combat rating is inflated. Anyone who says that this is a good rocket is wrong - against 9.3/9.7/10.0 and only if there are no countermeasures. As for the cannon armament… There is only one at the root of the wing, which means you can forget about aimed shooting, it’s purely luck. 12 countermeasures - it’s great that they are there at all, but they don’t save you from Aim9L, R73, R60M. There is no radar warning system, which already closes access to any high-altitude flights, and the chance of survival in such situations is close to zero in the realities of the game. Also, everyone who plays and sees it knows that it is an easy, large, toothless target. At 9.3, it won’t be so vulnerable and will be able to play its role as a fighter, rather than a punching bag, especially without Aim 9J. Technically, it won’t be able to break the balance.
Increase speed = shorter time. 6s → 5s
Increase time = lower speed. 5s → 6s
But yeah, not the easiest wording to wrestle with x)
