Considering it had only 65k battles in July, I don’t think it’s only uncommon. For example, many vehicles around it’s BR had 0.5 - 1m battles during the same period.
If you take only major nations from 8.7 to 9.3, Object 279 is 35th most played vehicle out of 40 in total. I think that speaks volumes.

By actually having a balance team that thinks about balance changes. The reason bmd4 stood so low in br was bc of its horrid players which lowered the stats. Any sensible person could look at the bmd4 and say “wow this thing is better than the begleitpanzer it should be higher in br”. Or look at the j7d and go “wow this thing gets to fight flareless planes while being better than the mig21 bis (arguably)” but no. They dont wanna spend time actually thinking it out so they just look at the player stats. and unsuprisingly prem vehicles have bad players which keep them low in br

You’d need to have a weighting system in place for all the different parameters vehicles have, which is very hard to do objectively.

25 seconds is too fast? There is already plenty of large caliber HE slinger across every br but all of them doesn’t take years to load another shell, even the reserve 1.0 15cm sig dishing out more DPM than the 6.7 T30 lol this update would only make these vehicles less boring to play as they currently spent half the match sitting behind cover reloading, only thing going for them is armor. Also HE is inconsistent, further lowering the reload time to 20 seconds still the T29 will outperformed it in terms of DPM, also making it slightly closer to T34 as it currently the worst variant out of the three.
