Reasoning:
I can’t see the justification for moving the PT-16/T14 to 11.0. It has no smoke, no thermals, uses DM23 and only has a 9 shell ready rack. 11.0 is far too high considering it can face Strv 122s and type 10s in an uptier which drastically outclass it. It’ll also be too easy to destroy it using CAS and spike launchers as it has no smoke to protect itself. It needs to be moved back down or the very least given DM33 and smoke to compensate.
I will continue to complain about the F-16 ADF getting Amraaams, instead of change his loadout just add an F-16 Block 30/32 and folder it with the Block 50 in that way you can keep the ADF as it is and a new 13.3 or .7 br whatever br they want
Mode: Air Simulator Battles
Vehicle: J-8B
BR: 11.7 → 10.7
Reasoning: The J-8B has extremely high speed bleed when maneuvering while also not maneuvering as well as other delta wing aircraft around 11.0 due to its much higher mass. Additionally, its radar is significantly worse than other aircraft at 10.7 or 11.0 (most notably the F-4E, which not only has better acquisition, but also has an ACM boresight mode that the J-8B lacks entirely). It is limited to Aspides and PL-5Bs, which, while good missiles, are hamstrung by its poor radar and lackluster performance respecively. At 11.7 it is outclassed in every aspect by other fighters at the BR, while at 10.7 it would be comparable to its competition.
Along with this change I would also suggest swapping its position in the TT with the J-7E, as the J-7E is a much better fighter.
Mode: Air Simulator Battles
Vehicle: J-7E
BR: 11.0 → 11.7, possible addition of PL-5C missile.
Reasoning: The J-7E has by far the best flight model below 12.3, while also having good missiles and avionics. The only thing it really lacks is a radar for locating targets, which thanks to its excellent RWR is less of an issue than it would initially seem. The J-7E has outstanding acceleration, superior instantaneous turn, and incredibly high energy retention compared to literally every aircraft it faces. Moving it up to 11.7 would make it somewhat more even, while still retaining most of its advantages. The main downside at 11.7 would be the lack of all-aspect missiles, which could be remedied if needed by adding the PL-5C or PL-8.
In addition I would suggest swapping its place in the tech tree with the J-8B, as the J-7E is a vastly superior aircraft.
Aspides are basically AIM-7E2s with a slightly upgraded seeker. They would not be exceptional at 10.7, especially paired with the J-8B’s extremely lackluster radar.
Mode: Air Realistic
Vehicle: F-16A OCU
BR:13.7→13.3 or 13.0
I don’t understand why this aircraft is 13.7, given that the ADFs to which AMRAAM was added are 13.3. The only thing better than them is HMS and 9M. It is one of the 13.7 aircraft that suffers the most along with the J-11A due to the fact that it has less C/M than the other aircraft. So you should either lower this aircraft to 13.3 or remove the AMRAAM which cannot be equipped in the actual aircraft and lower it to 13.0.
Brother, the average missile at 10.7 is either the 7e or the r530… The aspides DO NOT need to be lower than the lowest 7-e2 (the f4e) at 11.3.
Plus, the j8 air frame is far from bad, bleeding speed is how you play deltas like it. Look up how to reverse people, in 1 vs 1 its good. Anymore more than 2 and you rely on boom and zoom.
You clearly did not read the part of the suggestion where it was for ASB, not ARB. And in ARB, the F-4Es are at 10.7, while I do agree they should be 11.0 instead.
As for playing the J-8, I have spaded it. It is not a good airframe. It’s not just the lack of retention, it’s that it isn’t getting that much turn for how much energy it bleeds, even compared to other deltas. Just because you can get people to overshoot doesn’t mean you can actually capitalize on it.
What a joke, 57mm shells are less efficient than 40mm? The 2S38 has better firepower, higher gun elevation for air-to-air shooting, and air-to-air fire control. Its number of ammunition to be fired is even higher than the total stockpile of the 9040C. Its turret speed is nearly twice as fast as the 9040C, and the 2S38’s maneuverability is definitely much better than the 9040C. The only advantage of the 9040C is its survivability, which is stronger than most light tanks
