Leave it at 9.7! Compared to the Leopard 2k it has slightly worse mobility, similar protection,a worse main gun, a less flexible 20mm canon and worse zoom, its only advantage being thermals, which do NOT justify putting it at the same Br of 10.0.
Other 9.7 vehicles moving up to 10.0, like the Sabra Mk1 or the Merkava Mk2D feature far better firepower, gun handling and protection than the AMX-40. Even compared to 9.7 vehicles staying at 9.7 like the T-64B it is obvious that the AMX-40 can be considered underpowered for 9.7, making its Br increase unreasonable.
In addition the change would create another void in the french tree, with the Vextra 105 at 9.7, the AMX-40 at 10.0 and the Leopard 2a4NL at 10.7 not having functional lineups,
forcing players to grind through the 7th and 8th rank with 6th rank tanks increasing the time needed and making france less attractive to players than it already is.
Almost no one in the universe thinks the KV-1, E B S are fun to fight, so it’s better for them to get a more unfavorable BR than potentially bully hordes of Timmies — like it happened with the Jumbo, 279, and others
Ground AB & RB, MEPHISTO. 8.7 > 9.0 with the addition of HOT-3 missiles it historically carried : really similar to the chinese AFT-09 which is literally a copy of it. Moving it also at 9.0 allows it to be a good support for the 9.3 lineup. There are already 4 ground vehicles at 8.7 at the moment and none at 9.0 in the french tree.
Switch places between the F-100D and the Alpha Jet E in the french tech tree, respectively a fighter in the attacker line and an attacker in the fighter line… Moreover it seems logical to me for the super saber to be after an other sabre and before the F-8 which is literally based on the F-100.
Switch places in the japanese tech tree between the Yugumo and the Hatsuharu, because the Hatsuharu is a downgrade of this previous ship in almost every way.
flakrakrad and other similar spaa’s should be moved down.
SPAA’s like the flakrakrad and ITO should be moved down to 11.3 or 11.0, this is because they lack features like datalink and they also have shorter ranges by about 7-8 km compared to the pantsir that is only 0.3 BR higher
France has no viable lineup between 9.3 and 12.0 if the AMX-40 is moved to 10.0, America has no viable lineup between 10.3 and 11.3/11.7, often times being the next vehicle in line. The french 7th rank is just useless suffering, the american 7th rank is the base and preperation for top tier.
J35D also got multiple flight model nerfs. If the Early gets nerfed equally as hard in performance than it will probably go down, realistically though i doubt it will happen, who knows gaijin may pyt it down if more people play it.
who uses apcr, i just rock the aphe and regularly rack 5-8 kill games in it, its my go to to unlock any new rank 1-3 vehicle they add to the brit tree.
Hi, I really think that all of the 8.7 br changes are going to destroy the game. The 8.7 br is one of the best battle ratings in the game and having stable lineups in this battle rating helps to actually play the game, not soullessly grind it. I think that making those br changes (moving 8.7 vehicles to 9.0) would destroy the game. This is because T55AM1, T55AMD or strv 103C have early darts and they won’t be able to fight with many of the top tier vehicles. I really think that 8.7 tanks should not be moved up to 9.0. It’s just a bad decision that will make people even more tired of this game.
Saying french players are good does not justify increasing its BR, by that logic it might aswell be 12.0. This reasoning is why france suffers in the first place.
Well if it was doing way better than other 9.7 tanks then i deserves to move up, I know it isn’t a great mentality but it is what it is, it sucked with the abram’s but im sure french players will adapt.
