Planned Battle Rating changes for April 2025

Vehicle - SIDAM 25
Mode: Ground RB
BR: 8.3 > 8.0
Reasoning: It is worse than all other SPAA around it’s BR. It has low amount of ammo, lacks radar, lacks smoke grenades (most other 8.3 SPAA has access to this) and it cannot be used with the italian 8.0 lineup.

There is no Bracket for 12.3

F-16A Block 15 OCU (Thai): 13.7 → 13.0 (remove AMRAAM)

The Thai F-16A Block 15 OCU was unable to use the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile (bug report) and used IR AIM-9P-3/P-4/M missiles only.

The first Thai F-16 to use the AMRAAM missile was the F-16A Block 15 ADF dedicated interceptor, specifically modified to use AMRAAM prior to entering Thai service. The OCU is used in a ground attack role due to its lacking ARH capability.

Except they do of course. They will be surpassed anyway. Then again I prefer they don’t since they become easy lone targets.

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

They didnt want lists last time, but havent written the same this time round

Feb BR Changes

But assuming its the same, might be worth doing them 1 at a time, because I agree with these changes and would be good to vote them each in turn

Mode: Air RB
Aircraft: F-4EJ/F-4EJ ADTW
BR changes:10.7>11.0.

Reason: F-4EJ need to be moved to 10.7 because it get the worst AIM-7E missiles and the worst Radar for 11.0 also it can’t turn. So I think that jet would be somewhat better at 10.7 or even at 10.3

Helis are being put into 12.3 due to fire-and-forget missiles regardless of performance

Mode: Realistic Battles NF

Porter class Destroyer USS Phelps DD-360

5.0 - 4.7 or 4.3 if needed

USS Phelps DD-360 is represented as a mid to late war reconstruction of the Porter class destroyer, In game we see USS Porter DD-356 in an as built condition & USS Moffet DD-362 in an early war AA refit with these two still carrying their heavy battery of eight 5"/38 Mk. 12 cannons Mark. 22 turrets.

Meanwhile Phelps carries only five 5"/38 Mk. 12 cannons 1× Mk. 30 2× Mk. 38 turrets.

The lighter main armament should account to seeing a reduction, afterall the newer Fletcher class, Allen M. Sumner & Gearing class destroyers are 4.7 with five or six cannons, an even further the Impetuoso class destroyer is 4.0 with only four of these cannons, so why is the Phelps still a 5.0?

Also as quad 40 mm/60 mounts go three of the above ships have the same or more & the latter vessel has radar directed ones.

Impetuoso is the reasoning I also mention the 4.3.

Well that’s one way to have a convesation.

I don’t see the problem with it being equal to the Leclerc, Ariete, T-80UK, or the Challies.
The M1A1s with extra composite armour in the cheeks can go to 12.0 (which they should’ve been).
The M1A1 is good, I agree, but I don’t see how it’s any better than the Type 90 / TKX.
They both have trade-offs.

They could both be 11.7 for all I care.

Vehicle:ADATS (USA)

Game mode: Ground RB

Changes: 11.7 > 11.0

The reason is that ADATS has the worst missiles on its BR, in terms of armament and capabilities it is inferior to OSA and 2S6 which are on 10.3 -10.7.
ADATS is not able to intercept missiles, does not have an OLS radar and has weak missiles that are not able to intercept fast-moving targets.

Vehicle: F-15J

Changes: ARB: 13.0 → 13.7 (Added Aim-120Bs)

Reason: As the F-15J in game has the AN/APG-63 PSP, it is possible to receive the aim-120B amraams, as were tested on it in 2001, while not strictly neccesary at the moment, it will be important to in the future to create less of a gap between it and the F-15J(M), as it’s BR will likely rise as gaijin continues to add more of it’s IRL capabilities.

Maybe our experiences differ, as I’m used to primarily playing the Italian tech tree Pz. III N with that same gun, which DOES face the T-34 with its 115 mm pen HEAT round, and occasionally the Pz. IV C when I’m looking for low tier German relaxation, but I have never noticed either of them being overpowered. WT HEAT mechanics naturally balance out the high pen of those vehicles. If it’s the 2.0-2.3 vehicles you’re concerned about, I don’t have much experience in those or facing them, but in my limited experience I have never seen them way overperform. If it’s a historical issue I can somewhat understand your concerns but I haven’t seen the vehicles with these weapons dominate their BRs by any means.

Turm III (Germany - Ground RB) 8.3 → 9.0, Rank V → Rank VI

With the T-55AMs both going up now, there is even less justification for the Turm III to remain at its present BR. This vehicle is one of the most egregiously under-tiered vehicles ever added to this game. It has a full stabiliser, a 5 second autoloader, excellent mobilty, and a 30mm autocannon to defeat light vehicles. It has all of this at a BR where not all MBTs are even stabilised (e.g. AMX-30), and the only downside is its thin armour and prominent ammo rack, which are not unique problems to this tank, and certainly don’t make up for all its other advantages.

It is an extremely mobile MBT, far better than most at its BR, and can fight while moving with almost no loss of accuracy due to the stabilisation. This mobility also allows it to pick and choose its engagements to its advantage, and to get into good positions early in the game. When it’s in a static position, the high rate of fire and 12 degrees of gun depression make it excellent at defending itself, and as a result it can be very difficult to get out of a spot once it’s there.

Contrasted with other BR 8.3 vehicles, it is clear that this has no business being so low. The AMX-30 has no stabiliser and no autoloader, and is limited to HEAT only. The M60A1 AOS has no autoloader and is much slower than the Turm III, while its thicker armour mostly only matters against autocannons since other MBTs can penetrate it easily, including Turm III. Vijayanta, another Premium BR 8.3 MBT, is much slower and can only match the Turm III’s fire rate with the best possible crew.

The armour thickness is the only are where the Turm III does not completely outperform its fellow tanks, but in my experience this disadvantage is not important. Fundamentally this is a BR where MBTs mostly have no issues penetrating one another, so Turm III is only at an armour disadvantage against autocannon vehicles, but against those it can use its own 30mm to destroy them, so in practical gameplay terms the Turm III isn’t actually much worse against these vehicles either. Furthermore, the thinness actually reduces the spall of the common APDS and APFSDS rounds at this BR, so in some circumstances the thin armour can be an advantage.

The continuous very high usage of this vehicle ever since its addition should surely have shown how powerful this vehicle is. Statistics only tell part of the story, you must take into consideration that as a Premium vehicle many players will be new and inexperienced, artificially increasing the number of losses, and that mobile vehicles frequently die more often due to the high-risk aggressive playstyle they encourage. In the hands of an experienced player, this vehicle is able to punch far above its weight, and it should join its Soviet counterparts at 9.0 where its fire rate and mobility would be offset by a greater need to aim and use careful positioning. Such a BR increase should also come with a rank increase, to make it more efficient at researching vehicles of a similar BR.

Isnt this just the F-15J(M)?

GRB:
M1A2 SEPv2/ Leopard 2A7V/ T-90M/Pantsir-S1/ Leopard 2A7HU/Strv 122B+

12.0 → 13.0
Reason, we have soon 13.0 for planes in GRB too, so why not using it and finally increase the Max BR so that the Tanks below can breath?

M1A2 SEP/Leopard 2A6/T-80BVM/T-72B3/Black Night/Typ 10/TKX/ VT4A1/WZ1001(E) LCT/ ZTZ99A/Leclerc AZUR/Leopard 2A6NL/ Strv 122/Strv 122B PLSS/ Leopard 2A6(FIN) Merkava Mk.4M

12.0 → 12.7

Reason: Same as above, to gave the vehicles actually air to Breath, and this way Diffrences like
Leopard 2A7V and 2A6 would finally be at an diffrent BR, 2A7V has better TVD and Better Armor than an 2A6

Suggestion: Char 25t from 8.0 to 7.7 bcs its not a competitive light tank on 8.0, where most of the games it faces the 8.7 vehicles, fits better into the 7.7 lineup

Oops, this is probably something I should know, must have missed it thanks. I’ll re-post as individual suggestions.

Vehicle:A-10С (USA)

Game mode: Ground RB

Changes: 12.0 > 11.3

The reason is that the A-10С has the lowest speed on its BR, which is why it is not capable of delivering long-range missile strikes and combating SAMs in any way.

  • Mirage Milan → 9.7 to 9.3
This jet is essentially an F104A with a worse gun and worse instantaneous AoA. It can carry more bombs and has better low speed maneuverability, but these are not worthwhile tradeoffs. It is a laughably bad jet at 9.7.
