And it’ll make anything else a pain to play because you won’t be able to climb, and you will always have to defend, putting yourself at a severe disadvantage at the beginning. This is partly the fault of air RBs game design, where you need to rush to the middle in order to be effective.

I don’t understand even a little bit why other then bias against French players again… is the AMX-40 going to 10.0 .
It has very bad gun handling with a max turret Horizontal speed of 25°/s and 6°/s Vertical on an ace crew and FIX 10x Zoom .
No Autoloader , 6.7sec Ace Reload
No Armor at all , even in a full downtier at 8.7 EVERY Heat/Apds/APFSDS shells go right through it from the front either your Turret or your Hull .
The APFSDS Shell has bad/mid Penetration 394mmMax/214mmMin while at 9.7 the SABRA Has 589mmMax/313mmMin (Better than the Leclerc Best Shell AT 12.0 ! Might i add .
And worst of all at 9.7 it was the only MBT of your Lineup which means that now the AMX-40 will be alone with no lineup at 10.0 and your 9.7 lineup will only consist of light tanks… Amazing .
KEEP the AMX-40 at 9.7 (even at 9.3 it wouldn’t be a broken tank)
Preventing all aspect missiles from facing Sabres/Mig-17s and similar stuff is not an asinine change.

Maybe if they had recieved the air spawn Gaijin said they would get alongside the BR change, Id probably agree with you. But they didn’t, so it was indeed an asinine change.
I understand if the T-55AM 1 gets sent to 9.0 thats reasonable but the T-55AMD 1 will not be good at 9.0. Drozd is nice but most vehicles you will be encountering will be shooting darts and 400mm+ HEATFS .

I am well aware and understand how you tomcat-enjoyers love tomcat, and it now has a terrible time against the F-15E
But, sending it down to 12.7 is making it dominate everything again and makes 11.7-12.7 dead.
bc full uptier match (12.7-13.7) does not happen much because there are just too many of 14.0BR jets, which magnet everything below.
I know the current F-14A IRIAF is meh now.
But sadly, keeping a single plane dead is better than keeping the whole BR radius dead.
We need something better than ‘just send it back to 12.7’ for the solution.

Reasoning: AMX 40 has no armor nor penetration(394mm is almost the lowest) in BR 10.0, espscially when it’s in uptiere battles. Furthremore, this disintegrate the French 9.7 lineup, resulting the four only French vehicles in its VII rank distributed in 3 different BRs, which is very unreasonable.
The Fox after the turret nerf going up seems very unneccesary and the FV4030/3 going up makes the rapier going down pointless and removes any reason to buy the FV4030/3 being there’s no decent line up for it at 10.0 and 0.3 of a BR higher is much better vehicles

I understand. I’m not saying the Viggen D21 should be 13.0. I’m just saying it’s very workable with what it has, and its playstyle can’t be compared to the F-14 IRIAF’s, especially when it comes to how viable it is.
I would like to see the following vehicles increased in BR (in all modes) to follow the long ago increase in vehicles around the ~5.0-7.0 BR’s. All these vehicles easily bully their competition and are especially unfair against the majority of 2.3-3.0 BR vehicles. But because they mostly face eachother its hard to see that they overperform as they don’t overperform against eachother. Playing many other vehicles around their BR feels like handicapping yourself.

AMX-40 - keep at 9.7
The AMX-40 does not have the required stats to be at 10.0.
Its gun handling, armour(lack thereof) and gunner’s sight would make it frustrating to play in uptiers, even with the tank’s exceptional mobility. Compared to other vehicles at this battle rating(Leopard 2K, Leopard 2AV etc.), the AMX-40 would be underwhelming. This would also make the somewhat recently fleshed out 9.7 lineup not nearly as viable.
Out of all the presented changes, this one is the most unjustified to me.
Why isn’t Sherman II being lowered to 3.3. It’s just a M4A1 Sherman with a useless APCR
