Planned Battle Rating changes for April 2024

i checked with my german main friend and he said its underwelming at 9.0 but fine, theres many cases where a significant upgrade is 0.3 away (examples being IS-2 and IS-2 (1944), T-44 and T-44-100, FV4202, Centurion Mk.3, Cromwell V and Cromwell I, the Two Crusaders, etc…) its not uncommon, you see a few of them which means that they are not hopeless,

lets put it this way,

Is it going to be an Equivalent to the Chieftain Mk.5?, No Cheiftain Mk.5 has 298mm pen APDS (while the A1A1 has 337mm pen APFSDS which is much more reliable) and, Much less manoeverability, with the only armour improvement being in the turret (for what the guns fo the BR care about) and desite it being a completely differnt vehicle, the Rooikat MTTD has the same round and penetration statistics and i have never noticed an issue with the firepower on the MTTD Except in a FULL uptier facing the russian 10.0

even against a same BR F-84B, of they have 2 braincells they will win every time

it was balanced at 4.7 for my experience, 5.3 was dealable, but 6.0 is straight up overkill…

This is absolutely true. They are a menace to reserve destroyers at 3.3 and 3.7.

Menace to everything above them too ^^

CRITICISMS:

T-34 (1941, 1st armor battalion, Finland) (3.7-3.7)
all T-34 1941 now overtiered, at least compensate them with Rank III bump-up.
Poor old M4 and Pz. IV long gun users can’t aim for the gaping turret cheeks so the snail handholds them.

M18, M64 (5.7-5.7)
this thing to 6.0, idk what the snail is smoking. Germoney supphers again ig?

Spitfire Mk24 (7.0-7.0)
Spitfire mk.24 now able to fight early sabres and mig-15, hello, april fools was 14 days ago!

Ostwind (3.7-3.7)
it’s not slow firing and does not have a terrible magazine capacity, no reason to move it down to 3.3. Must in fact move up to 4.0, it’s also an objectively better plane killer than the M19A1 at 4.0 given its rate of fire.

SUGGESTED BR CHANGES:
Leopard 2A7V, Strv 122 (all variants), T-80BVM: (11.7-12.0)
move to 12.0 since these things singlehandedly make top tier unjust for all nations, apart from compression issues. Give the BVM 3BM59 (~20-30mm pen > than 3BM60) just to make it more capable with said contenders.

VT-4A1 (11.7-11.3, or buff reload/engine/aim speeds)
objectively underperforming tank compared to its domestic production cousins, the 99A and its prototype. The sluggish mobility tied with noticeably below average gun aim speeds and reload speed makes it unfit for 11.7 aka actual top tier given the nature of its contenders. I think it’s time to consult and consider the numerous reports made about this tank, or if impossible, just move it down to 11.3.

Su-25T, Su-39 (11.3-11.0)
reason: these things are the slowest at their tier and can only carry two R-73s at the most and they don’t even have HMD. Enemies can compensate for the IRCM device in the tail by just gunning this thing down, which is not a hard task given its horrendous speed. If the supersonic Jaguar IS with two Magic IIs is at 11.0, then why not this? This thing can be at 11.3 or even higher but only when equipped with A2G loadouts, which is a revolutionary feature that is sadly not yet implemented.

PRAISES:
Good to see the Sabres and early MiGs going down in BR, about time to distance them from lightning-fast missile hurlers at 9.3 and above, such as A-10/Su-25, mig-19 and early mig-21, etc

Finally, the objectively despised RAT issues such as that of the Fox and Leopard 40-70 are being addressed.

How about the G.91’s? why aren’t they being moved, especially all the Italian variants.

man that would make sraams very spicy

its a Bosvark with 360 degree firing, much smaller, and more manoeverable, it deserves to be higher than the Bosvark, especially as the Zu-23 is a menace agaisnt aircraft

Not fan seeing more compression at down tier. As always decompression need to be on top, and less decompression below, to have fairness between player.

If this compression happen, then i don’t understand why some aircraft which are even less powerful than F86 series/ MiG 15-17 series are forgotten, when they need to be the priority before even talk F86/MiG-15/17. At least the compression would be more “understable”.

  • MD.454A (Mystere IVa) - to 8.3 or 8.0 in air RB and Air SB - Currently One of the worst 8.7 in air rb/air SB, people asked way before this planned changed to be either 8.3 or 8.0. Because the performance this aircraft was not equal to 8.7 in first place. 8.0 seems to be the way as this aircraft be more in line with other 8.0 aircraft performance. No way this plane be in a fair match-up against F86F series, CL-13, MiG-17 and MiG-15 Bis

  • MD.452C (Mystere IIC) - to 8.0 in air RB and SB. This aircraft do not have the performance to deal with F86F series (2/25/30/35). the F86F is a league better than a MD.452C. The 452C is essentially a 452A with 30mm weaponnary. as 452A is already at 8.0 452C should be at the same BR

  • Vautour IIA/IIB - To 8.3 in air RB and SB. Players have as always asked for this change since years. IIN is already at 8.3 and have Missile. While IIA have no missile, Gun and ground armement only, and IIB only ground armement, need an explanation for this. Why these 2 planes keep to be forgotten in every planned battle rating change. While an LA-200 sit for now years at 7.7. It’s just make no sense

  • F84F - To 8.0 in air RB. Good luck with this one, if the current planned BR change is apply. Facing F86F series at the same BR? Good luck

  • Venom - 8.3 in air RB, 8.7 in air SB. No one used this aircraft anymore, and for good reason. This place should be a priority to receive a BR chance. Venom same BR as Lim-5, MiG-17? when these are a league better than the Venom?

  • Hunter F-1 - 8.7 in air RB. This is one of the old which need to be a priority change. How a lim-5 Cl.13 can go at 8.7 and still forget for Hunter F-1 which can only count on its speed.

Last note: I still advocate for a reduction of the BR spread of the match. From 1.0 to 0.7. Will help greatly the balance of the game. If Gaijin go to compression BR, the need of a new BR spread will be.
Decompression more, compression less. For the balance of the game.

When exactly on this world’s history have I said that Tiger H1 should be 4.7?

This line of thinking is like saying Jumbo and Easy Eight cant share the same BR because Easy Eight has better gun and mobility.

They very much can share the same, because Id use Easy Eight and Jumbo on different maps for different scenarios.

Same with A1A1/Chieftain Mk.5.

maybe from people that are still making their way to top tier, but I can assure you, no one will put A1A1 in 9.3/9.7 lineup when there are much better picks, and no one will uptier 8.7 tanks to 9.0 just to play a tank that should be 8.7 to begin with.

F-104S.ASA should not face the F-15

they currently cant due to its air to air capabilities, once split br gets added in then increasing its br for GRB is definitely needed tho

Only Marginally, Their both shermans at the end of the day its like saying the Valentine XI and the Matilda should be different BRs becuase one has a better gun and marginally better mobility, where one has marginally Much more of a difference than the Leo 1 and Cheiftain, there are very few senarios where a A1A1 isnt better than the Cheiftain Mk.5

Not the tanks fault, i play british 3.7 and find it fun, but i do not bring the Churchill I and the Cromwell V due to said better picks

Yeha, no many tanks can be uptiered in lineups easily, especcially mobile ones with a good enough gun, not the best example but i uptier the Vickers Mk.11 to 9.3 all the time and it does fine, and a more direct comparison, the Cheiftain Mk.10, I uptier it to 9.3, its shit but is that suprising if its probabally more balanced at 8.7? not to mention the Leo 1 which is leagues more mobile thanthe cheiftain deals with uptiers better

the issue is, does this marginal increase in capability between mk5 and A1A1 warrant 0.3 BR increase?

TAM is much better medium/light tank tahn both A1A1 and mk5, yet it sits below A1A1. If TAM and A1A1 switched places, it would be much more desirable placement, alas.

still needs to be taken into account when balancing a vehicle.

There is no proper argument the 2S38 hysteria partakers can bring up that warrants this vehicle being moved up. I wonder why players like you ignore the Swedish IFVs having HE-VT, radar and APFSDS with better armor at 10.0.
Literally, bandwagoning cause you got killed.

One good thing about TAM variants is the engine acts as hull armor, unlike Leopards or Chieftains, hitting there almost always guaranteed OHKO, TAM will shoot you back if you hit the hull, even the 130mm APHE from the Object 279 will stuck there, the only way to reliable kill it is the turret cheek, so it overall has better protections/survivability than Leopard 1 variants.

dont know about that chief. maybe if were talking the russian 100mm APHEs found on T-54/55s, but the schlong of 279?

testing in protection analysis, maybe if you hit the LFP and transmission, but the 279s gun can cut straight through the sloped UFP and kill it.

this is where i am speaking from experience, i have spaded more or less every plane that is going to fight these down tiered migs and sabres and i can say with absolute confidence they are going to be fodder, all the sabre or mig has to do if they mess up is run away and come back later, with the exception of maybe the la200 in which case you just turn and let that sky whale list as the two more modern fighters are infinitely more manouverable and retain their energy. Also as someone who has spaded every spitfire, i can also tell you that currently the later griffon spits are horrible to play, as that uptier is just death, now its guaranteed death
