no, anything even in a downtier that isnt the a 75mm sherman or anything else with a similar cannon like the early T-34s can just pen you outright, and firing first is hard when shermans have a stabliser for break shots and the T-34 has the most rigid and quick settling suspension known to man, allowing them to stop and aim for weakspots, while you have to wait for your gun to stock rocking back and forth like a rocking horse due to the low elevation speed and how relatively bouncy the sherman hull is, even the Pz 4 can shoot quicker, APHE will kill you practically anywhere where with teh 17 pounder you need to aim for centre mass to get enough spall to kill someone,
in addtion long range is hard to come across, its why all british tanks designed for long range combat are not meta, and have never been (Cheiftain Mk.10 im looking at you)
the medicore manoeverability, and standard sheman armour means that its nothing special, combined with no HE filler meaning multiple shots are the standard and no stabiliser means that its not as strong as say a M4A1(76) downtier, which has a gun that can pen most things and a stabiliser sure its 5.0 now but it used to be 4.7 and imo the fireflies are not equivalent, and since the tigers moved up your penetration is largely useless unless you are in a full uptier or facing SU-85Ms,
Which is why it should remain 1.0 BR below 2S38.
No APFSDS, just as fast, “worse” armor [all these tanks get lolpenned by MBTs], and an ITOW missile.
Not as powerful as 2S38, thus lower BR.
T-34 being 4.0 is wack tbh
At least in AB, I found it simply adequate, nothing special. Basically part of the sherman/panzer IV/T-34 3.7 trio, one focusing on gun, one on frontal armor, stab, and overall flexibility, and the last on low silhouette and good speed, but the worst gun of the three.
Well, I’m just saying that your numbers might not look as crispy playing the HSTV-L if you only analyze barely a few first games. My first 5 games with Challenger DS I ended up having a K/D of 5.0 because of pure “luck” I guess, but you need to have a bigger data pool to have a properly evaluate its performance, 8 games is definitely not enough. You might probably hit that 1.1KD, who knows.
And definitely not, Ariete doesn’t compare to 2A7 at all, I get your point but you’re forgetting many factors such as the non-existent first layers of armor for the turret (compared to the beefy 2A7 turret) and the most important of all: turret ammo storage vs hull ammo storage in the AMV, plus more pen due to L/55, definitely 2A7 wins in everything, not only on the “onion layer 4” lol. Once you get to play it you will see how different you perform on each of them.
Okay, now i feel like you need to read my calculations post before you continue claiming BR ranges for the 2S38. There are so many of the independent characteristics that by themselves are 10.7 worthy (just going on single ability performance and comparing to 9040C and HSTV-L).
and that has not included any of the extra abilities it has that the 9040C or HSTV-L doesn’t have in the calculations.
lemme get this straight:
No change to su11, 2s38 or even the promised change for m735 but m18 is apparently too op and had to be moved up and ruin its entire lineup, decent jets like mig15s and cl13 had to be brought down for God knows what reason and bmp1s will now face fully stabilized, thermal cam tanks with composite armor for what again???
Gaijin, we celebrate April Fools Day on just the first day and not the whole month I hope you know that
Edit: Atleast do something about me163 b-0 sitting .7 BR above its base version, G91s at 8.7 with little to no flight performance to show for, same for F3H-2, all of me262s are getting shit on cause lackluster performance for its BR with no counterplay against other jets.
Also why is m26 sharing same BR as its upgraded versions? T25 at 6.3 even though it doesnt even have its stabilizers nor does it have the gun performance or any mobility to show for
