I say, we raise the top BR for ground, air and naval, without adding any new vehicles

That way, everything could be spread out, instead of situations like this, where a MiG-15 can face Me-262s, or have to face F-100’s

I’d be all for reducing it’s LGB count and keeping it at 10.3, but they’re not going to do that bc of this weird “historical” fetish.
It technically has a ground lineup at 10.7, by taking your 10.3 lineup and putting the KF41 in it. it’s not ideal, but there isn’t a huge difference in matches of 10.3 and 10.7 lineups anyway. you usually end up in 11.0 matches. When playing 10.7 china, it’s very rare to go up to 11.7, as those are usually sucked up into 12.0-12.3 plane ranges. after all, there can only be 4 top tier players per team, and alot of people play 11.7.

I don’t have many complaints with the new Br’s but i still have some.

The Fox
I don’t think it’s fair to put the fox up to 7.7 a jump of 2 BR’s. The power of the fox is that it is fast/mobile and it has a decent gun. I get that the vehicle is good but I don’t think it’s that good. I think a Br of 7.3 is fair enough.

The 2S38

I am sad to see that the 2S38 slipped by the Br changes again. Its by far the most powerful vehicle and 10.0 it’s capabilities are far too powerful for the Br. It’s decent mobility, unmanned turret, amazing gun with ammunition for every situation and lock on capability make it a force to be reckoned with. Getting a k/d of 2 or higher is not a difficult task. It’s fine for 10.7 or at least 10.3.

The 20pndr cents were 6.7 before APDS lol
And the 20pndr is an exceptional gun if you use it decently.
Also, if you were to read just half a sentence longer, you’d see that I do not wish for the Caernavorn to go up, nor the Cent Mk 3 for that matter. However, the Mk 5/1 which is a direct upgrade of the Mk 3 should definitely, as should the undertiered 4202.

Shell shatter is a skill issue from poor aim. Aim at less complex geometries and it will never happen. It also happens less often than you think - that’s just basic negativity bias.

I wasn’t even saying anything about the BR change. I just find the argument “X must have a hard counter” weird because it isn’t fun to play when something hard counters you, not having a chance to beat it at a vaguely similar skill level.

In an optimal game state there wouldn’t be any hard counters in the BR range, just things that are equal, or have an advantage/disadvantage in specific situations, but not something that is better at everything.

True, i dont know much about air balance. I’d just guess it gets stomped in an uptier and that’s why it goes down, which is yet again a false response from gaijin.

They should honestly increase the max BR with every BR change update until everything is decompressed. I understand if they don’t wanna go to 14+ in one update but they should at least go one step higher every BR change update…

Yes you believe, because you don’t fly sim. Flares don’t mean anything there. 12 high caliber flares are more than enough. Even 6 would be enough for the rare occasion where you have a chance to use them. There should be no all aspect missiles at 10.3 sim except maybe planes with abysmal flight performance.

Snail doesn’t disagree. This is exactly the reason why Su-17M3 is at 10.7. I just don’t want them to make the mistake of forgetting to adjust the BR of this better aircraft.

The whole lowering of 8.7 planes is a mess to me. Getting them lower would make early jets really hard to play.

The whole point is the all aspects missiles around 10.0:

  • A-10, AMX and Su25 slinger gen 3 without flares (ie mirage 5, 3C, F100, F8, Mig 19, …)
  • gen 3 without flares get lowered and enjoy to slinger the 8.7 planes (ie F-86, Mystère, Mig 15 and 17, G91, …)
  • 8.7 will get lowered to 8.3 and will walk on early jets
  • early jets will get lower and crush late props…
  • and so on

To kill this circle of crushing older planes, just move up the all aspects 10.x planes and accept their air RB stats are bad. They were not meant for aerial fight anyway. Give them airspawn again to compensate in air RB by letting them do things like engaging ground targets, bomb bases or get all aspects kills against unsuspecting ennemies. Get back to older BR’s for the gen 3 and everybody will enjoy the game again.

Thanks, I hate the air changes. All of these jets are being bullied thanks to the horrible undertiered planes in 9.3/7. The mig 19, mig 21s, ariete, F104. All of them should be going up instead of putting these planes lower so they can terrorize 7.0 and 7.3 the same way they’re being bullied right now. I mean what is a mk 24 spitfire supposed to do against a mig 15 or F 84 A5? What about the early me 262s? If you are trying to “decompress” (move the compression lower) Why are things like the Javelin, Venom FB.4, Swift F7, and Hunter all staying where they are now?

The Panzer IV H has upgraded frontal armour due to better placed and more add-on tracks, especially on the turret which is of course a weak spot. Plus the minor benefit of the commander MG for use against aircraft. It is absolutely deserving of 4.3. The G could be 4.0 but I don’t see that as being a necessary change, largely from a lineup perspective. Also, you seem to have forgotten that the M4A1 (76) is 5.0, so .7 above 4.3.

Overall the changes are ok, I dont think any of the jets should be moved to 8.0 however they are too strong.

My one request is:

Cheiftain MK.3 8.7 → 8.3

The Cheiftain MK.3 is sigificantly worse than the MK.5, having much less horsepower and a worse top speed however they are at the same BR.

There is therefore no reason to play the MK.3 when the MK.5 is just better at the same BR, if it was moved to 8.3 it would actually have a place.

All Leclercs should either see their BR reduced to 11.0.
Alternatively they could receive a new round to keep up with top tier.

The myth of the Leclercs being a “jack of all trade” has to end. At least the second part of the idiom is true: the Leclercs are currently masters of none.

It would be okay if the Leclercs had something else to compensate for it, like very good armor, but it is sadly not the case. To this day I still don’t understand why the STRV-122s, the most armored MBTs in the game, have a better round than the Leclercs, which are among the worst armored MBT at top tier.

There are 2 solid choices for a new round :

DM53 :
Although Italy never bought DM53 shells for their Arietes, Gaijin decided to give DM53 to the Arietes to try to keep them somewhat relevant at top tier. This obvious balancing decision could definitely be applied to the Leclercs since both Ariete and Leclerc perform similarly.

Fired from the Leclerc’s GIAT CN120-26/52 L/52 cannon, this would result in a muzzle velocity of about 1730m/s and penetration of about 645mm, which is in line with the Leopard 2A6/7AV penetration of 652mm (DM53 round), the Type 10’s penetration of 615mm (Type 10 round) and the Abrams’ penetration of 629mm (M829A3 round).

SHARD :
Another option could be the newly qualified SHARD round.

This round is made by NEXTER, the same company that developed the Leclerc MBTs (it used to be named GIAT).

Courtesy of @Laurelix, when fired from the Leclerc’s GIAT CN120-26/52 L/52 cannon, this round should reach a muzzle velocity of 1720 m/s. Its 775mm long WHA penetrator should result in an estimated penetration of:

720mm @ 0m (0°)
421mm @ 0m (60°)
-
668mm @ 1000m (0°)
390mm @ 1000m (60°)

So, a 20% penetration increase over OFL 120 F1 at 1km.

Then make the OFL 120 F1 a level 1 modification on all Leclerc variants (replacing OFL 120 G1), but give these vehicles access to DM53 or SHARD as a level 4 modification.

Otherwise, just put the Leclerc to BR 11.0. They currently aren’t a credible choice in the face of other top tier MBTs, especially the most armored ones equipped with spall liners such as T-80BVM/T-90M, Leopard 2A7V or the STRV-122s.
