Why can’t aviation lovers have First World War planes like the Fokker DR.1, Albatros, Nieuport…? Although the battles are slower, I think being able to fly flying circus planes would be great and dogfights would be quite a feat.

True, however, it limits you to what it is with VR, which not everyone has. By introducing those 4 planes into War Thunder, it would be possible for a large part of the community to use them.
welp if we want the WW1 BR that pretty much means every nation has to find their vehicles of WW1. So they are gonna need like early WW1 planes to late WW1 planes and it gonna be interestring to see Pilot using pistol to kill the other pilot.
Truly, although the top tier are spectacular and are the most advanced, I personally like piston planes more because they have that unique and characteristic charm and what better way than using the first ones that started that today we can fly at 2000 km/h
