For the love of God, no. A new rank is never necessary. All it does is artificially increase the grind for 0 gain.
It will have to increase , sorry to tell you that , might as well make the grind a bit worse but they gonna have to spead it out. As of now 7.0 is super compressed. With 6.0 vehicle getting dunked on for not being good enough. And as for any of the end of the line , I am even expecting them to be rank 9 or even rank 10. Cause by god I do not want them to just dunk on interwar ship
Like I said, rank is the most irrelevant feature of the game. It exists entirely to make the grind longer, and sell premiums. You can easily decompress rank 6 without adding a new rank. Literally just move the 7.0s to 7.3/7.7/8.0. There’s no reason to artificially increase the grind just to decompress.
They could get rid of ranks entirely and nobody would notice.
I think the issue here is the definitions. One of you is talking about battle rating and one of you is talking about rank/tier.
Sorry should have clarified it clearer , my bad
But it is gaijin we talking about , the create problem and sell the solution. Rank system is a part of BR and BR is a part of Rank. They answer to each other cause Gaijin made it so , there is no way gaijin gonna do BR and not do Rank, especially with Naval
Agreed. This is my post from when they added Rank VI.
I agree, the rank system just means we need more research point to research a new ship. More research points means more times, it turns us to Gaijin’s slave.
For the CIWS, Russian’s pr.68A already have AK620 CIWS, but it still in BR6.0. But the truth is now the AA system in game only can intercept the planes , not the missiles, even can’t use the radar to lock incoming missile. And a funny thing is, obviously Gaijin have the real missile model in game, but just can’t lock by naval radars.
I come from the future, Iowa, Yamato and Bismarck just got Leaked )))))
Great hazemeyer, she’s absolutely stunning!
I still find it pretty crazy we’re jumping from Colorado and straight to Iowa in one patch.
I was hoping we’d see the NCs, SDs, and KGVs before jumping right to the biggest dogs, but yeah pretty crazy to see. I think Colorado to Iowa might just be the biggest single patch capability jump for any tree since Germany went from Kaiser to Scharnhorst.
Its stange. This jump was unneccesary. Also makes no sense. The patch would have been epic also with KGV, SD and so on. And in a few months another patch could have brought in the top dogs.
Seems like they think jumping to the end of the line right now will net them more money than having an intermediate patch before then.
I think they’re right, but seems a little strange that there aren’t more premium ships to go along with them if that is truly what they’re doing.
Yeah the jump really is odd. I mean the UK is arguably moving from arguably the prototype for the ‘fast battleship’ HMS Hood, to their last, HMS Vanguard, with only the ‘slow’ battleship HMS Rodney in-between.
There’s so much stuff that could’ve been added, and I think it’s a shame they they’re ignoring the intermediate stuff to go strait for the top dogs.
Although I am happy there is at least one naval focused update. Normally we only get a few stuff per patch, so to get at least one for every nation at the same time is nice.
Well jump was necessary, especially for KGV, if to get other nations rank VII battleship. For NC and SD, they could still fight top dog, but well Iowa could do better with better gun.
Well that’s just it, isn’t it? They could have done an intermediary jump this patch with South Dakota or North Carolina and KGV and… idk… Normandie? And then added all of the top dogs next patch.
idk, maybe they simply had no intention of adding them so soon, but for some reason really wanted to add Iowa and Yamato right now no waiting
Nothing strange at all, as every other nation is going straight to their “best” BB.
Only the US tree is really skipping anything, most nations are simply getting the next class in line, as expected:
-
US - North Carolinas and South Dakotas, skipped (for now) probably because the vocal US players would lose their minds if they “merely” got a North Carolina instead of an Iowa while all the other nations got what they’re getting this patch. If we count laid down treaty ships, could also see the Lexingtons and earlier SoDaks eventually.
-
Germany - Nothing skipped, Bismarcks were next.
-
USSR - Nothing skipped, Sovetsky Soyuzs were next.
-
UK - King George Vs skipped, though one could argue they’re better than Vanguard (or a sidegrade), so maybe doesn’t count. Could also see the G3s.
-
Japan - Nothing skipped, Yamatos were next. Could say we skipped the Kagas, though they’re more of an Amagi sidegrade.
-
Italy - Nothing skipped, Littorios were next.
-
France - Nothing skipped, Richelieus were next.
So all that’s meaningfully skipped is two US classes which are both basically “slightly worse Iowa”. I’m sure we’ll see them added to flesh out the tree in the not too distant future.
I’m really hoping this isn’t the final arrangement for 8.7. Dat GRIND would make top tier totally unobtainium for almost all players. And as someone who’s presently got two of the top tier US boats unlocked, it’d still take me almost 1.3 million research points to reach Iowa if this is the final tree. Similarly for Yamato. I was hoping Iowa would be right under Alaska >.<
Why would Iowa be under Alaska? She’s a battleship, why wouldn’t she follow Tennessee or Colora-
Oh right, Mutsu and Amagi, I forget sometimes. I suppose then, it’s a wonder Iowa isn’t behind Alaska.
Yeah, always thought Alaska looked like mini iowa
