Philippines have been considering to buy Gripens from sweden and according the youtube documentaries that the DND has confirmed 20 Gripens for the Philippine MRF Program and the Philippine Defense Secretary will most likely sign the deal for the first batch of JAS-39. Does this mean we will see an American Premium of the JAS-39 from its Philippine Subtree?

Theres no Philippine subtree in the US.
Theres a single philipines aircraft in the US TT, and that wasnt added because subtree, that was added because its US aircraft; just as F-14 IRIAF does not denote Iranian subtree in the US TT.
If Philipines Gripen would be added (and thats big if because there are several other better fitting candidates) it would be to the swedish TT; assuming no Philipines subtree is announced beforehand

Hard to say because just like USSR/russia, US has enough vehicles to fill it entirely with domestic stuff so it doesnt need a subtree.
But i do think that US would theoretically be possible candidate.

Hopefully not haha…It seems like I would need to grind the Swedish Aviation to play the Gripen…I wouldn’t say I was coping it was just the only non domestic aircrafts I like are the Spitfire and Gripen and just wanted to not grind another TT to play a pretty plane.

Darter missiles suck so the ZA gripen is kinda mid.
the Darter is literally the best missile for the Gripens playstyle. The pull the Darters have make them the best missile for close range engagements which is what the Gripen excels at.
Watch any of the big air players play and most will say the ZA Gripen is the best, hell even MiGan says its the best
id honestly prefer a skyflash or aim 7P

Man it makes me wish we had a OCEANIA subtree all the island nations with small air forces from around that side of the world, sadly not gonna happen plus one of the biggest nations is in a divorce hearing between the American tech tree and British one.
