PGZ09 APDS Ammo bugged

When selecting the DM23 with the PGZ09 it only always gives you…40 Shots…nothing more nothing less…all the other Ammo works fine…

Is this an Bug or intentional? Can’t rly do much with only 40 Shots…thats a whooping 0.5 seconds of firing…

Working exactly as intended, use them 40 rounds well

Pretty much all SPAA have limited APDS belts in game.

It’s intentional, APDS can only be used on the external belt.

Doesn’t even make any sense for it to have APDS in the first place if it only has 40 Rounds…thats literally not even half a second of firing with it…wtf are you even supposed to do with it? Its not even enough to get through someones tracks/side armour

Mate you’re an SPAA anyway. Tanks are not your main target. All œrlikon 35mm SPAA have their regular belts and an additional 40 round separate feed of APDS that is used as self defense ammo.

It works just fine against a T72s side, which is the most common tank with actual armor you’ll see. Don’t waste the APDS and you might be able to take down 5 MBTs with it

there’s also a funny ammo crate that effectively doubles your ammo count

To start, you have an ammo box. 2nd, 40 round is about 2 kills. Its incredibly lethal vs side armor.

Well the 9040 is also 10.3 with just a cannon, it’s a pretty good cannon but still.

Its really not. At 10.7 you have the 2s38 for comparison. the CV9040 has 24 shots in its ready rack compared to the entire belt for the 2s38. Once your 24 rounds are expended, you have SEVEN SECONDS to reload your FIRST shot. thats a 7s reload for a 40mm. then 3s for your 2nd, then 2s for each after, giving you almost a full min to reload your rack.

Yeah 2s38 is a busted, undertiered premium that has been complained about quite a lot. It’s APFSDS is also noticeably stronger than the strf’s better dart.

Doesn’t exactly make the cannon worse, but yeah rack reload’s rough and could probably use some adjustment

2S38 has a larger cannon, and is far from broken now at 10.7 and with internal modules
