If there are any responses/updates, I’ll try to link them as I see them
If it’s added as a foldered vehicle or as a modification to the F/A-18E, it’s fine by me.
I just don’t want it to be added after the F/A-18E as a “Block III upgrade” or something like that. Single seaters are simply better outside of aesthetics. So as long as it isn’t some gimped new variant I’m down.

Theres no reason it shouldnt.
Not adding anything new other than the best looking super hornet is more than valid enough of a reason for an addition
would need to be foldered.

Is it not literally the exact same plane as F-18E, except twin seater…?
AKA identical in every metric except visuals? (And F also being ever so slightly heavier).
I agree, honestly, foldering should appease the masses. I understand the single seat performance side of things, this would be the best for both worlds
Yes, so an addition makes zero impact on grind. F18F is way better looking in my opinion
Genuinely, it would be nice if it was like a 100k-200k RP modification for the F/A-18E. Basically have to research the equivalent of a foldered vehicle, but it comes spaded.
Although it would also be another vehicle that I could RP bank modification rank bonuses on. So I’d be down for either one.
It’s just such a simple addition, literally a layup for enjoyers. Should’ve been in the dev blog honestly

So far I’ve noticed that Gaijin is really scared of adding twin seater variants of aircraft to the original tech trees. I think they mentioning adding F/A-18F only to the British tree, because US already has F/A-18E and adding F/A-18F only to British tree would be more unique.
I get it that F-15D; F-16B; F-16D; F/A-18D; F/A-18F would have slight worse performance than the already F-15C; F-16A; F-16C; F/A-18C; F/A-18E we have in the game and it would mean another 400k RP for the literally same aircraft, but worse, but god damn I want to have twin seaters so bad. They look so much cooler and honestly I don’t really care about the meta, I just want to fly cool jets, because that’s what this game is mostly about.
So far US twin seat jets were added to:
Japan (Malaysian F/A-18D Hornet)
Israel (Israeli F-16D Barak II)
the fact US still didn’t get them is basically a steal in collector’s eyes
F-15D would be so easy to make, just slightly changed F-15E
so yep I’m all in, time for US to get some twin seat baddies

I was really looking forward to having the twin seater in US TT as i dont own british vehicles and the twin seater super hornet was the first plane model ive ever built irl.
So i was looking forward to have whats essentially just the same plane i already have but nicer looking in the TT. It going to only the british is just weird, especially since USA uses them a lot.

Yeah they never explicitly denied it the F, so it seems that they are watching, but I do agree it’s about time. It’s been two updates in a row seeing twin seater f18s in other trees, and foldering has always been an option for vehicle enjoyers. There is such a thing as good copy and paste when the community calls for it.
Highly agree, whether for personal experiences (I enjoyed the F in Behind Enemy Lines, Battlefield 3), or for your fact stated about actually being owned and operated by the US, it’s very strange to not see in its home nation, and a lot of people don’t want to grind another tree to do it
Not according To Tech mods. So some stores may be going to be arbitrarily limited and nothing can be done since all documentation refers to them collectively as the “F/A-18E/F”
It’s similar in character to the potential for the F/A-18D in the US tree due to the potential to model a Marine Hornet, which has configurational and stores differences to make it a unique variant (would change the TGP from LANTIRN to LITENING, or a late configuration with an AESA etc. and assorted other stores)
will the usa be the only country to receive the new aim120d in the next major update
If the US tree is never going to get an F/A-18F because it already has the -18E and they are functionally identical, is there any chance that Technical Moderators are going to accept that both the F/A-18E & -F should be similar in terms of stores because this is going to cause issues since documentation says one thing, but unspecified Bug Report Manager(s) erroneously believe another.
This is going to cause issues with the AGM-187A and asorted other stores (e.g. AGM-88J, etc.) going forward.
“F/A-18F != F/A-18E”
When as can be seen below, both 18E & -F variants are mentioned interchangeably as the “F/A-18E/F”

Honestly wouldn’t mind it being added as an event vehicle in the future
It’ll be interesting to see what they say when the GBU-53 gets added. As far as a difference between the F versions from US to UK, the capabilities should be the same, correct?
Depends on which block gets implemented as Australia only received the Block II configuration, though they may be going to be undergoing upgrades to become (partial) Block III equivalents soon, though with the move to the F-35 the funds earmarked for said program may be recapitalized elsewhere.
The US has the capability to get get Block I, II or III airframes.
Block I is the baseline Super hornet as introduced in 1995.
Block II introduced the APG-79 AESA radar and advanced stores
Block III adds more advanced datalinks, a new pedestal touch screen and offboard processing suitable for managing CCAs and asorted other bits and bobs.
Honestly matching the blocks for the two nations wouldn’t be a bad idea, probably to the point at THIS STAGE to have the current F as a block 2. Especially if the full implementation of block 3 features aren’t going to be realized yet in game or at all.
