Petition to add the following super props to the game:

Lol, i see you got 10 kills and 2 deaths. I started with 14 kills and no deaths. I thought well this ain’t that bad, right? Why is it “good”? Oh I see, full commit head ons where hispanos reach further and quicker than any other shells, oooh i see yes. Am I right? Same old as why the j7w1 is at 6.0 despite having 4.0 performance, right?

how am I attacking them? I’m literally pointing out why people get ridiculous KDs on planes with good armament. I don’t do head ons because my mouse is oversensitive even on low DPI and suck at aiming (two things together = heading on bad idea), i’m much MUCH better at deflections and the sea fury ain’t one of these planes. Even Loofah admitted most of his kills were head-on. How do people do on j7w1 too? Head on, the handling is like a lighter sea fury with less engine power.

By bringing up their stats and making light of them. Discourse that can easily turn into personal attacks, which is a guaranteed way to have this thread ending up deleted. I’m sure you’re no stranger to having a thread deleted Mantis, so let’s pump the breaks before it gets to that point.

my threads get deleted because they’re considered “spam”, and i bring stats up when people call me bad or speak out of their rears without any experience on the matter. Especially considering that the planes i fly are quite rare to see, mostly because nearly nobody ever uses them for the same reason I complain about them.

Don’t know if this is considered “super” at a top speed of ≈300mph, but it has some pretty interesting history, capabilities, and extremely powerful engines. The OV-10 Bronco…

IIRC the Spiteful suggestions have been up for like 7 years if not longer.

The Fury (3,000HP) suggestions have been up for ages too and the Sea Fury buffs have been being reported since the aircraft was introduced. Gaijin just hasn’t added them.

There are a handful of options for France, but most of them come up short of the definition of “superprop”. France had the problem that it wasn’t able to develop its types for 4 years, so the only options are either unbuilt prototypes, mockups and paper aircraft.
The D.3803, D.554, M.520T, SE.580, VG.60 and the M.B.157 with its proper armament layout are the most applicable.

  • The D.3803 was a Swiss development of the M.S.406 with a 1,500 hp Saurer YS-3 engine and 3 x 20 mm Hispano 404’s, with a top speed of 423 mph / 680 kph.
  • The M.520T was an intended production version of the D.551 with the 1,400 hp Hispano-Suiza 12Z engine and 1 x 20 mm Hispano 404 and 6 x 7.5 mm MAC M39 machine guns, with a top speed of 423 mph / 680 kph.
  • The two SE.580’s were extremely loose derivatives of the D.520 airframe but much larger, fitting either a Hispano-Suiza 24Z engine making 3,000 hp or an Arsenal 24H with 4,000 hp. With a 1 x 30 mm Hispano 825 cannon, 4 x 20 mm Hispano 404 cannons and 8 x 7.5 mm MAC M39 machine guns for the 1943 version, and the 1946 version replacing the 8 MAC M39’s with 6 x 12.7 mm Browning M2 machine guns. Top speed was slated to be 465 mph / 749 kph.
  • The VG.60 was a derivative of the VG.33 featuring an Arsenal 12H (Junkers Jumo 213) making 1,750 hp. It was to be armed with a single 23 mm Hispano 406, 8 x 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine guns or 2 x 20 mm Hispano 404’s. It had a slated top speed of 415 mph / 668 kph.
  • The D.554 has extremely limited information on it including no performance figures known, but it was a D.551 with a longer nose and bigger wings, along with a 1,500 hp Hispano 12Z. It was to be armed with 3 x 20 mm Hispano 404 cannons and 4 x 7.5 mm MAC M39 machine guns. Top speed isn’t known as said previously, but it’d likely be above 440 mph / 700 kph.

Those numbers are… optimistic, to say the least. Even more so for the D.554 with longer wings and even higher 700kph top speed.

P-47 would be trash of Germany/Russia mains actually used their climb rate instead of just being low alt dogfighters.

The D.3803’s top speed is a known quantity as are Saurer’s horsepower figures, it was a very well designed and light aircraft that reportedly stunned with its performance. 423 mph / 680 kph is more than reasonable from a ~3,200 kg / ~7,000 lb aircraft with 1,500 hp and good aerodynamics.

The D.554 was even lighter at around 2,600 kg / 5,700 lbs and even more aerodynamic. The basic armed D.551 was able to hit 411 mph / 662 kph on just 1,100 hp, it stands to reason that the D.554 would reach well above that with the extra 300 horsepower. For reference, that’s a similar difference between the Yak-3 (1,290 hp) and the Yak-9U (1,650 hp).
The Yak-3 was capable of 401 mph / 646 kph and the Yak-9U was capable of 430 mph / 700 kph, the D.554 would likely have a comparable speed to the Yak-9U given how the D.551 outspeeds the Yak-3.
