Petition to add EGBU-24Bs to the F-16C and F-15E

Gaijin recently added the EGBU-24B Paveway III to the F/A-18C Late. This bomb is an upgrade over the standard GBU-24 that is currently present on the F-16C and F-15E due to the addition of IOG and GNSS.

Gaijin, please add the EGBU-24B to the F-16C and F-15E (if possible ofc)

Might need to be bug reported with a source saying the EBGU was used on those airframes (probably was, but Gaijin being Gaijin)

Ideally, he can find something like the absolute jackpot that is the Boeing LJDAM product card, that explicitly states that EGBU doesn’t require aircraft change

Both planes have reports passed for GBU-54 or the LJDAMs that are on a lot of other planes in the game now. Both planes carried those bombs. Still have yet to be added.

That would do. But its not the only one. It seems like they really dont like handing out the 2K GBUs. Typhoon is missing them too

Here is one for a bunch of jets to get LJDAM

They may not accept that and instead might need to be 1 per aircraft.

Let me guess, the typhoon can carry 2000lb dumb bomb but can’t carry 2000lb LJDAM or some BS like that

I got sources and pictures for each aircraft

No idea. The each Typhoon has a slightly different loadout options and it feels… random, but that is best left for another thread. TLDR. They need to do pass and just hand out GBU options for a LOT of aircraft

Which is good, but I think its to do with their system. So they can assign the bug report to that specific aircraft and I dont know if they can do it to multiple aircraft. You’ll have to ask a tech mod. I know multiple reports for 1 vehicle needs to be split, but not 100% sure on multiple aircraft missing the same weapon

I DMed one asking to take a look at mine to see if anything was wrong with it since a bunch of newer ones got a response. Nothing yet though. If he does respond, I’ll ask him about what you said, thanks for bringing it up

Give them a day or 2, especially at the moment, they’ll be swamped with bug reports.

Back on specific topic. Try checking stuff regarding UAI integration (F-15E has it). A couple of them have lists of integrated weapons, and I may have seen EGBU in them

The only issue is the technicality that the BLU-109, as listed has significantly reduced TNTe due to being a bunker-buster variant of the Mk.84

it does say that any 1760 or 1553 equipped jets can use it. and the whole point is retaining the form factor of older Paveway III. so F-15E should also be able to carry EGBU-24

but it is honestly impressive how you find such good sources

It’s literally just;

  • raiding the bug report portal and forum threads for anything that looks interesting, being documents , excerpts or names to reverse look up later.

  • Throwing “brochure” on the end of a google search.

  • Randomly trying to use Youtube to look for promotional videos.

  • Looking at various blogs like Aviation archive. And other forums like DCS, secret projects, F-16.net and
the DTIC & internet archive repositories. additionally reverse looking up Designation systems numerous catalogs to find specific designations for JETDS items.

  • Remembering to look at the wayback machine to investigate dead / broken / hanging links.

  • Getting a .PDF copy of any document you see and having some sort of offline organizational structure(e.g. Obsidan), and link back to where you found it.

Sadly, I can’t find USM F/A-18C carry GBU-54(V)2/B Laser JDAM

For example F/A-18A (HUG Pase 3.2) carry GBU-54 Laser JDAM

The thing to look for is that the Proximity Airburst nose fuse (DSU-33/B) the JDAM uses is white, while the DSU-38 (SALH seeker) is black, or a light grey (if thermally coated).

Honestly, something thats of pretty major importance imo are some larger winged bombs for BLUFOR countries. ATM, Russia has exclusive control over large caliber winged bombs in the Grom-2 and FAB-3000 UMPK, and it allows them to destroy bases in sim from 70km away with little that can intercept them before they already accomplish their drops.
