To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, I wish to submit a proposal regarding the roundel insignia of the Armour - Tank Arms of PAVN.
So why we don’t have it, despite there being:
- Vehicles that the Vietnamese active during Vietnam’s liberation war (T34; T54; T55; Type 59; PT 76; Type 63; BMP 1; BMP 2, ZSU-57-2; ZSU-23-4;…)
- A Vietnamese vehicle (Phòng Không T-34)
- A Vietnam map
Introduce The Armour - Tank Arms
The Armour - Tank Arms is a an important attacking force of the People’s Army of Vietnam. Founded in 1959, with the establishment of the first tank regiment (Tank Regiment No.202), then developed into regiments and battalions; taking part in campaigns in the South battle field under banner of National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam ( Vietcong) , such as: Ta May - Lang Vay (1968), Dong Ha, Dac To, Tan Canh, Loc Ninh (1972), Cua Viet (1973), Phuoc Long, Buon Me Thuot and Ho Chi Minh Campaign to liberate Saigon and unify the country (1975).

Since Ho Chi Minh Campaign to liberate Saigon and unify the country (4/1975). until now, The Armour - Tank Arms of Vietnam People’s Army has used emblem with the image of the golden star on a red background to participate in campaigns for the defense of the country and fulfill international obligations.
