And no, the CAS is not only with armored vehicles.
In 2001, the B-52 contributed to the success of Operation Enduring Freedom, providing the ability to loiter high above the battlefield and provide close air support through the use of precision guided munitions. The B-52 also played a role in Operation Iraqi Freedom by launching approximately 100 CALCMs during a night mission March 21, 2003.
It’s not a chemical formula. It’s not necessarily 30 meters above the ground.
It refers to the use of aircraft or helicopters to support troops close to the enemy. This type of operation requires both precise use of firepower, rapid reaction time, and good synchronization with ground units.
I would second that. Bombs explode way too easy by cannon or machine gun fire. Is there a study or some references out there that investigated dumb bombs vulnerability to fire? I some how don’t believe the current explosiveness.
Regarding the radius before and after. I never had a problem with the giant radius but i also think the the new one is still enough. The most annoying feature for me is, that you get killed behind giant rocks, large apartment buildings or large structures, because you stand in an imaginary circle. That is what really needs to be improved. But i guess this is means too much hard work.
Feels like they brought back that hitscan detection for bombs again, If a bomb lands behind a little rubble its like a 50/50 of the bomb not even registering a hit.
3 tanks on the capture zone and it didn’t register anything.
That same match a ME-264 landed a bomb like 5 meters away from me and a dead tank ate the blast and didn’t even effect me at all, Later in a different match i had a bomb land under me in a Tiger and it exploded with 0 damage but a second bomb killed me a few minutes later.
Regarding the nerf it sucks. I honestly find it funny when I die to a FAB-5000 or 12000 lber.
I was recently in a open-top AA and I saw Lancaster come in, I ended up shooting him down after he dropped them bomb. I accepted my fate, but was surprised as hell when I literally saw the bomb land and explode, and my tank and crew were perfectly fine. I was honestly kind of mad because I felt the dude deserved the kill.
Also I mean IRL, my crew’s heads would have turned into a popped balloon filled with ketchup
Everyone you mean you? Because I sure as hell wasn’t, though I shot a few of these bombs down with my fighters and it was fun to listen to screetching from bomber user whose plane was already burning in the background.
Problem is, maps are cramped and buildings and rocks provided 0 cover. As a result, on city maps Pe-8 could clear half of a team and basically win the game with 1 bomb nobody could really prevent.
Especially on small chokepoint maps these big bombs were toxic. Ground players deserve a game, too. Bombers spawn too high, you will always make it to the drop zone and then there always had been the chance to blow up most of the enemy team. It was a bit too idiotic.
Did this actually happen? I thought I noticed a change. Now I’m getting maximum 2 kills with my Lancaster, mostly one when theres multiple people close
