In addition to the “second beam” that doesn’t exist that it shows on the radar screen but in sensor view it doesn’t even show.
also should be ESA so do the 0.1 second updates as long as the radar is pointed the right direction
and some sources say it should have a back panel too that updates target positions
The buk ingame is using bukm2 radar, so its 1988 not even near 2000s, which is also why the buk radar is useless and the TELARS are the only usable bit about it
Then you should bug that, the x-ray clearly shows it’s a “Viking” radar which is the Buk-M3’s radar.
Im pretty sure its all called viking, just how buk is always grizzly, but im not gonna bother with bug reporting just for a “not a bug”, or “not enough info”, trying to get things like j10c or t80bvm corrected is impossible atp
The NASAMS isnt cutting it. We need something Better and not nerfed by gaijin. Change my mind
no we dont.
No.
you sound like Tiger-tank guy but about bais.
sure why not, add the s300 and hq19 with it.
Why HQ19? Ain’t that supposed to be for satellites and BMs? Sort of like a smaller Thadd. The only meaningful target might be the MiG25 even then 20km and 200km alt are very different.
Jokes aside HQ9 will do. Being a very similar to S300 vehicle will also prevent gaijin to nerf it too much in some ways.
i might said the wrong but yeah hq9
I mean it will be cool if they one day added spacecrafts.
The Chinese SPAA systems from now on are pretty limited though, and half their predecessors are butchered so I have little hopes unless they get a fully Russian system anything will change.
same goes for patriot right ? i would not based my view on a sams based on irl events as there are a lot to consider that are not implemented in the game
I mean it depends, since the Chinese are that much better at keeping things, especially from the past two decades secretive, since there’s no need to disclose any to congress or what ever.
And the only conflict ever attended by them is pretty much the ‘5.7’ one and that is too recent for more info.
I think that the amraam-er is quite good. Also we need anti-radiation missiles before something like the patriot can be added.
the NASAMS 3 is really good for point defense, but we’d need Anti-radiation missiles first. Though I do need to say this, the Patriot’s radar can’t do a continuous 360 degree search. The radar is fixed and has to be manually oriented in the direction that an attack is believed to come from. It has a FOV of 120 degrees and 60 degrees to look up. Gaijin can add the LTAMDS radar which is an AESA radar that is able to have a continuous 360 degree search due to it having multiple fixed AESA radars facing different directions.
Edit: I might be wrong about some of the information regarding the rotation of the AN/MPQ-65 so please correct if so and I’d like to see a video of the AN/MPQ-65 rotating because I can’t find one lol
And also Patriot is not a lone system, more radar systems are used to provide a much more complete picture, not just reliant on the radar to search a large portion of the sky.
I need to ask, since I made suggestion about the LvS 103 (Swedish Patriot Pac-3) and waiting for it to get posted, can the TPY-4 radar provide Datalink and be used to track targets if the AN/MPQ-65 is offline or no? I just want clarification
Not an american radar expert. Think it has link 16 so should be able to have some form of datalink.
Edit: just got GPT to do the work, seems like it does have data link but there are certain infrastructures needed.
