HISTORY
The Patria AMW is built in Finland, Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace is a co-owner of the Finnish patria company with 49.9%. The AMW stands for Armored Modular Vehicle and is an multi role vehicle with 8x8. It is designed and produced by Finland and its Patria company. Development for a new modular vehicle started back in 1995, and trough the years many different vehicles were made, but around 2004 this variant of the patria was introduced and produced.
This vehicle was first seen at Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre EUROSATORY event in 2018. From my understanding, both parties has cooperated in integrating the remote turret onto the vehicle. It features the Patria AMW xp from Patria and the RT40 turret from Kongsberg, it is equipped the Bushmaster Mk.44 30x173mm cannon with an 7.62mm coaxial machinegun, and on the roof it has the crows weapon station with the 12.7mm M2 Browning in addition to an 127mm Javelin anti tank guided missile, the turret also have 2x smoke grenades on each corner of the turret. The vehicle was also seen at an live fire demonstration in 2021, where we also saw it without the crows weapon station. This is a technology demonstrator, and it has not been adopted by any nation yet.
As i mentioned before this vehicle was first seen at Eurosatory in 2018, this is the specific year/vehilce this suggestion is for, and it is different from the latest demonstrated ones in the way that it has an hangar for 8x Black Hones drones integrated and installed on the rear left side of the hull. This drones can be used for reconnaissance and for beyond horizon engagement, with the vehicles integrated combat solution this drone can share data with other vehicles using this system, also it can tag/scout enemy vehicles or other threats wich then is shared on a map for the commanders in the eventual other vehicles sharing the combat solution. Its basically warthunder IRL. The drones are able to be operated in groups, and be independently controlled, the fly time is also around 10-15 minutes, and it can automatically return to the hangar and be recharged, ready to fly again.
IN GAME
This could be a unique and effective ifv for rank 6-7, with a powerful 30x173mm cannon armed with a wide variety of ammunition which includes airburst. This makes it suitable for anti air defence to some degree. It has one javelin atgm missile integrated on the Kongsberg RS4 remote weapon station on top, which is a great backup weapon if you face heavier armored vehicles you are struggling to penetrate. Something that can be used very effectively in battles, is the Black hornet drones this vehicle is equipped with, this can be used in some conditions that could alter the turnout of the battle, and mean the difference between victory and defeat. You can hold any tactical sone, while have 1-2 or more black hornet drones in the air to surveillance areas where enemy vehicles may come from and give you time to either get out of there or be prepared to engage. With the drone being equipped with nvd, this would be awesome to spot and mark enemy vehicles.
This is what the vehicle looks like, the 2018 Eurosatory variant is a different colour on the RWS systenms
