I’m not sure what is the best way a 1v1 would be lame but we can also do that you can choose if you want to do a 1v1 a 2v2 or maybe a 3v3.

The only reason somebody would really want the defining feature of gen4 jets removed is because they can’t counter it themselves and don’t want to bother learning how to do so. There is a LOT of skill in using fox-3 missiles EFFECTIVELY while ALSO not dying to the enemy’s very own missiles. It is a game of counters and positioning. There is just as much skill in this as there is in dogfighting.

Notching them is something else because it really unconsitent. Sometimes I chaff a missile with 1 chaff another time I fly directly away from it and spam chaff right after launch and it still kills me. But yeah It takes skill and … oh wait… 70% luck XD. What a waste of nice flight models. Community is being useless and forcing gajin to ad an easier way to get kill for being braindead. U don’t know oh much I love it. Oh and then they complain about ppl useing rocket to make the grind easier and now complaining because it takes more time. And nobody sais that addition of fox3 just helped that, nobody complaines because there are no premium jets useing them. Oh yeah and for sure I have a skill issue. Doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to have fun. I’m giving my best to stay alive and get kills but that is hard witht my teams being useless ir the enemy team just gangbaning me while my team is bombing because top tier without 6 ARH isn’t playable. Useless BR and wasted time to grind there. But okay. I’ll stop saying its because of gajin after being in the forums for just a week I know its the useless forum community having proplem with addition which don’t force anybody to addapt to it. Just sad how many players let their anger about war thunder out in the forums.

Ive been finally spading Bis SAU, its now better than ever with F-16s and Mig-29s being moved out of its BR spread.
They arent, they just require more nuance than just spamming flares.

First of all you never saw me flying at top tier. Second both post were never meant because I complained about ARH missiles. And still you are telling me that I need to be the best player or at least as good as DEFYN to have fun in the game. It takes more skill and luck to notch fox 3 then to launch them. Thats the point but I don’t want to complain about fox3 again. Its always the same agruments from both sides and the ego to not think of the thinking behind what the other persoj said. Sad thing
So, implementing a mode like this won’t help anyone except a tiny minority of players, who believe all air-to-air combat should take place in dogfights, and anything else is mindless, skill-less boring shit.
The amount of resources that would have to be dedicated from Gaijin into this would be HUGE however. A total rebalancing of planes, BR’s and more would have to be implemented for this new gamemode. Why?
All modern planes, (and generally all planes since the introduction of missiles) have been slightly, or majorly designed around their missiles, not guns. Exactly how the B-2 has been designed for bombing, and would be useless in a dogfight. Think of the Tornado or the F104 as a prime example of planes that would be majorly affected by this.
Both planes are designed to carry Air-to-air missiles to deal with enemies and to intercept with their fast engines. NOT to dogfight. How would a dogfight with them turn out then? Either horribly. You’d be a flying brick. So they can’t face planes around their current BR’s which are way more manouvrable than them.
So, lower BR right? nuh uh. Every fight would be the F104 or Tornado going in for a strafing round into a plane, and then using their speed to run away avoiding a dogfight with the way more nimbler but way slower enemy plane. There’s no way to counter this, what you gonna do? Try to dogfight something that’s 4km away from you? Try to catch up to something that goes 400km/h faster than you and outaccelerates you?
Other planes that would be affected heavily by this are the SU-27, Gripen, A10, SU25/SU39, J35, MIG-29, JA37, T-2, ANY Harrier, YAK-38, MIG-21 bison, Kfir, F4’s, F111 etc etc. I could make a list a mile long of planes that would either be broken due to an amazing flight model or unusable due to a shitty flight model where you bleed all your speed and can’t do multiple turn dogfights (JA37’s, SU27, J35), unbalancable due to having nothing good for them except their speed and missiles, (F104’s and Tornados) Or planes that would dominate the meta since no other plane is as good as them at dogfighting at that BR. (JAS39, F-5, KFIR, Ariete)
The time put into balancing something impossible would remove content from other game modes and waste gaijins resources, inevitably creating a worse experience for all.
(No wonder the first thread got so bad responses, why the fuck did you create another one? 78% of people dislike the idea lmfao, this shit is impossible to balance).
You won’t have this problem if you actually know how to notch… like, please? Do you think ignoring the missile and just flying in a straight line away is going to do shit? cmon now…

I don’t need to see you flying. Anybody who thinks there is zero skill in playing top tier is just coping because they’re bad at top tier and do poorly at top tier…
and no, I am not that good and I still find success and fun at top tier when the game allows it. Top tier is plagued by issues but it isn’t because FOX-3 exists.
