Implementing AAMs and 16v16 actually killed thoses.

??? They already are limited by BR placement. MiG-15/F-86 rarely see missiles that aren’t the AIM-9B or something archaic and british.

I mean they shouldn’t face any AAMs even on MiG17 and CL, Hunter F.1.
Why? They are literally same era. Taiwanese F-86s engaged Chinese MiG-15s with AIM-9Bs in 1956… this was the first time air to air missiles were used in combat. It is literally a significant and historical event.

Thats because after AAM implements, stall fighting and high altitude dogfights also something else, which happend frequently somewhere on the map, have gone.
If you forced stall fighting against enemy in current meta, you or your enemy teammate will only have to make easy third party kill with AIM9B just like tons of A-4E and G.91Rat/4s.
Only things we currently have is boring third party kills or clubbing attackers.
There is a reason why the various Jet RB communities which has decent skill that once existed have almost completely died out.
I guess u never did a dog fight against your friends. Its not 0 brain gameplay it takes more braincells than thrid partying someone or launch Fox-3s.
In rb it is holding one key.
In sb have not small dogfighting experience. That requires skill and basic stuff like a 1 c and 2c.
Rb lacks of capability to 2c, because of instructor not adjustable, to hold 5G for example.
So, you can only one circ, thats holding a key

I have no idea why they doesn’t turn on forcing instructor in ARB duels for somehow.
It is really weird to see some sim mains play ARB duels even they play from cockpit view.
Basicly sim controls need more skill, but have less limits.
Theres no reason to limit them

At this point they should go for the SB duel, but as far as I could tell, as the last D-day tournament did, there were a lot of players who went into a flat spin on the first turn or J out with single “hit”, so that some players who are not that good at ARB duels or never played sim duel before took master duelist title.
I’m not even joking ofc

I still get fights at altitude just fine. I just don’t do it when 16 people are still up and I don’t position myself to get AIM-9B’d. You can stall fight now just as much as you could before considering you’re also dead to any guy who fires guns at you too.
I don’t die to missiles often at that BR. I also get into dogfights just about every single match.

using fox-3s effectively and more importantly NOT DYING to them is very skillful, just as much as dogfighting is.
