That’s nonsense. BR always has been the primary balance factor.
It’s stupid to keep a modern gun system like that at a br with ww2 tanks anyway.
You want to tell me that the PzH with ww2 M107 rounds and 6s reload would outperform 12.0, 13.0 or 14.0 br Tanks that are faster, have a stabilizer and actually have armor?
When the plz has better armor, spall liners, better reload, better armor, but its for balance that they are the same br. Pzh 2000 is even larger than the plz 05 yet lacks its spall liners, l15a1/a2 and saphei, and its reload is butchered. 0 reason for its m107 to be fired at the same velocity as the m44
Its just plain weird and unreasonable when u look at all the other spgs that have a reload of 7.5 and the pzh2k not having any real/big advantage over them. Quite often tmits just way bigger then them as well
After checking some stuff i come to the conclusion: That argument makes almost no sense.
The PLZ03 wich was introduced with the last update has at the same BR a SAPHE shell and a 7.5 sec reload and a turret plastered with spall liners
i don’t understand, you’re comparing that vehicle to one with 3 shots with a 3-4.5 second burst mass as what others have wanted it to be.

Im comparing the PZH with the PLZ due to them currently sharing same BR whilst the PZH objectively beeing worse (if this were the devserver id understand). On the 1st devserver the PZH had a 6 sec reload wich prolly would have been fine considering that the PLZ gets SAP-HE at the same br with an increased reload and the VIDAR has thermals .3 br higher with the same reload wich would lead me to the thinking that the br of the PZH would be lower due to the lack of a SAP-HE and the lack of thermals
Dont get me wrong i would love to see that implemented to have a 3 sec reload for the first 3 shots after wich the reload would increase (wich would acually make some historical sense)
As for the increased reload time: I understand that the reload is a way to balance vehicles but id think we all would be fine with it at 8.0 with a 6 second reload like the VIDAR has. (wich would be somewhere near the sustained firerate of the PZH)
It just feels like a giant slap in the face. The PZH is generally considered the best of its class (even mentioned in the devblog title) and on the live server it just feels unfinished (im not gonna start about the copy+pasted shell velocitys from the M4) from what it should/could be.
can yall just give the pzh 2000 its missing features. it has less armor than the plz 05 and is larger than it. dosnt make any sense for bakacing reasons to have a way larger reload than the vidar but has its same ammo load and no thermals at 7.7. it stil lacks spall liner and its good rounds like saphei and its l15a2. giving it a longer reload than a vehicle that has every feature it lacks for “balance” is insane

On a 30+ shot barrage thats only throttled to retain very high accuracy and precision no less, in direct fire it wouldnt really have to bother with that. If Gaijin really really wanted to, they could implement thermal loading of the barrel and force a short pause to keep up the normal firerate
It’s good, gaijin ruined pzh2000, no dm111, no protection against 14.5, reload time up to 10s, completely incomparable with Vidar, please05, type99 and gaijin’s reason is indeed a ridiculous balance
Balance? Compared to the please 05 and 99, I don’t see any point in the pzh2000 that is so good that the reload time needs to be reduced to 10s to balance
@Smin1080p_WT so quick question that i have related to balancing mechanism, why is the reload rate instead of the Battle Rating being used as a primary balancing mechanism? Surely the primary function of the BR system is to provide balance, which is why things move up and down depending on their performance or capability.
Can you therefore provide a bit more information as to why the developers or just people resposible for balance decided to ignore the primary way of providing balance and instead selected a roundabout way of nerfing reload speed from realistic 6 seconds to the current 10 seconds, again instead of moving the vehicle higher up in Battle Rating?
I think im just gonna pretend the pzh2000 doesnt exist ingame at this point, cuz what those mouth breathers at gaijin added to the game definitly isnt a PzH2000 in any way but visuals.
I hope nobody was stupid enough to waste money on the premium.
