And firepower if they had equipped it with the 15 cm K. L/40
No no no - it’s a TANK DESTROYER…
🙄
I genuinely cannot tell of you’re making a joke here or not…
It’s not a joke - it’s a commentary on the stupidity of including “rear area” artillery vehicles in a tactical game - and calling them “tank destroyers” is just another idiot Warthunderhammer moment.
Is the Hungarian one going to have an Italian Army skin/not just WTLive (especially it being in the Italian Ground Tree)? The Italian’s also use it a bit too, 64x of them. @Stona_WT
I hope we will see Italian Pzh2000 in the regular tree in the future, would be cool if it has its lws and Vulcano shell implemented.
poll General Info The story of the PzH 2000 began shortly after the development of the SP-70 project was cancelled. In the late 1980’s, Italy, Germany and the UK had decided to stop further development of the SP-70, they couldn’t agree on what to do with the machine, and there had been a couple of problems with funding. That said however, a couple of prototypes of the machine would be constructed. They had been used in many experiments to evaluate the machine, each country who was part of the p…
They are not even the same model. Italy license produced it in the early 2000’s, which makes it the A1 version…probably. Then we have the A2 modernization, A3(skipped) and A4 which is the one used by Hungary, Qatar and on order by Germany.
It has a camo net, so that’s a premium because anything cool isn’t going to be free.
Ik, I just want to have something of a placeholder unless there’s confirmation that the Italian version will come to the game at a later point.
Gaijin is obviously cutting costs by doing that.
That being said, Germany isn’t the only nation being “hurt” by this.
7.0-7.7 is just a hole itself in the Italian tech tree, lol.
Aren’t those red/white stripes signs used for railway transportation?
You may be right here. This should be removed on the field.
Panzerhaubitze 2000: Best In Its Class
Does it really mean, that when introduced to the game, 2S19 will be worse?
And so is Germany. Otherwise all this stuff would be even more expensive for the military of the country producing these vehicles to alleviate the insane development costs. besides i guess theres probably not a single vehicle in the world in existence that doesnt use more or less vital parts being produced in other countries. Or maybe the country (in this case germany) wouldn’t even have considered or finished developing these vehicles without preexisting contracts from foreign buyers or interrest.
the only time this sucks in this game is in sim mode. though i get the sentiment that each tech tree sort of should still have its uniqueness, in top tier where a lot of ppl want too play and want their country to be represented but every country is using one of 4 mbt models this doesnt work
would be cool if it has its lws and Vulcano shell implemented.
Shells of Italian design and construction, without the Italian PzH2000, would be a contradiction.
STOP ALREADY! Calling this thing a tank destroyer is incorrect, and you devs know it. Any self-propelled howitzer that finds itself having to use direct fire has found itself in the wrong place. Seen any 2S1s or 2S3s intentionally used as “tank destroyers” in Ukraine by either side? No. нет. Nein.
Can SP and towed artillery pieces use direct fire? Yes, of course they can. They use that mode to defend an artillery position when the battlefield situation has fallen apart. Are they used that way intentionally? Absolutely not. I might even see their use if we were using infantry in an urban environment–to blow holes in the sides of buildings for the infantry to enter, or to clear enemy infantry positions from buildings, but that’s not what Warthunder is (note, the U.S. didn’t do this in Iraq, effectively using Bradley and M-1 main gun rounds).
You guys at Gaijin have coded the PzH 2000, so you’re gonna post it up, but this makes Warthunder more like World of Tanks than a serious armored combat game.
Gaijin must hate Italy. There is no other answer, really.
Why are we only getting romanian and hungarian vehicles lately? Why can’t we have an implemented one in the tech tree, our nation has been the second one to make the most us of it, all throughout the world!
Seriously, who writes these devblogs?

Actually the 155mm vulcano is co devolped by Leonardo and Rheinmetall
Fix the Sholef before you add more SPHs.
