The Panther II in currently in-game has said to have the wrong turret, how different was the IRL production Panther II turret from the Panther F?

very. it was larger for one. and was made almost a year ago iirc.
while both Panther F and Panther II had 120mm at the front, 60mm all else, the shape was different

The F turret also had more angled side armour, narrowing more to the front than the Schmale Blendenausführung.

The armour joints at the rear are especially visible since the Schmale Blendenausführung uses the standard panther turret joints while the F turret uses an interlocking design.

The F turret had an incorporated rangefinder as well as a telescopic gunner sight peeking out above the turret. This feature, in contrast to the Schmale Blendenausführung, was only present on the Schmale Blende, the second turret design. These similarities are because the blende was used as a base for the F turret.

Tbh Panther F if fixed would be better. We could have F with muzzle brake at 6.0, Panther II at 6.3, Panther F with magazine at 6.7 and current Panther II at 7.0.

? whats this?

Panther with magazine fed 75mm rounds that gives it a 0.5 second reload

Come again?

Just joking. I thing he’s talking about a SPAA Panther, like the Coelion

There were plans by Skoda to make an auto loader for a 75mm tank gun that was rumored to have been for the Panther (but most likely was just a part of their T-25 tank design)

Isn’t this the same one that was allegedly trialed on a Tiger?

I dont think so? info on that stuff is super obscure but from what i know the Skoda 75mm autoloader never left the drawing board and there was some sort of mechanical ready rack (some say full blown autoloader but its most likely not) tested for the long 88 on a ground gun emplacement, it could have theoretically been fitted to either the Tiger II or Jagdpanther

Kinda going off-topic, but yea. This was most likely meant for the Jagdpanther, as lot’s of sources say it’s meant for it

I believe there was a panther with an pseudo stabilizer where the sight was stabilized and the gun only fired if the sight and gun aligned. But french tanks are supposed to have this aswell and dont have this ingame so chances are slim

Everything I’ve read suggests that a Tiger I recovered postwar in Czechslovakian territory was fitted with the 75mm Skoda A18 L/55 cannon.

Never heard of this, pretty interesting. Is there enough info out there for a suggestion?

Possibly, but we’d have to dig up some original Czech literature, because all the information I’ve read has been completely unsourced.

France really stolen all tank related technology from Germany after WW2 😄

Well at least it ended up in a lot of prototypes.

Since a specific and unique part was constructed, could this be suggested as a jagdpanther 8.8 mod?
