Alas Nuclear Thunder is over for NOW :(
icl 22 rp per HAWK RDR was a complete pisstake given how important they are to the match.

I mean, all i did was take out all the hawks and prt’s on one side of the map in the process giving me enough sp to spawn a 30kt nuke to take out the afs. Then i switched side, the only problem i ever had was all the enemies flying over our afs as my teams (despite basically all of them going pure air to air) refused to acknowledge that this wasnt air rb and required some actual thought as to where you should fly around…

Ill say again, the teams alone cause this game to go from slightly annoying to insufferable due to how bad they are. I would LOVE some kind of sbmm, but then again do i really want to face good players 24/7 when im not playing a meta nation (which is most of the time).

For the GR1, the 500s are better to run. You get 4 of them instead of 3 and they’ll still wreck MBTs with very rare exceptions when the guidance leads them into a really bad angle.

2 2000s and 2 500s

Meh, I engaged every single ground unit type (mostly M1A1s, Bradleys, Rolands and Gepards) in Nuclear Thunder and they all died to the 500s. The 2000s just came off as unnecessarily heavy.

They’re good for when convoys bunch up when you take out the lead unit, gotten multiple multi kills doing it.

I wonder, tried anyone in Nuke mode to Attack the Boats with Sea Eagles?
If so, what were the Results?

I did a few sorties, but I couldnt be bothered with the 2 hour queues.

Fine. I guess. Most got intercepted, but the ones that did get through did okay damage. Will sink a target with a single missile if you get a bit lucky.

Like, I did a few matches with Kormorans, sinking MBT-33s was pretty eazy, but anything else, no chance…
99% got Intecepted before and the 1% which went trough did barely damage

On one sortie where I did hit a destroyer, I think I got lucky because it was distracted shooting at a player.

But the interception rate is definetly too high

My thoughts on making it waaaaay better

Seagles do also have the advantage of having nearly twice the explosive mass, so if they hit, they do a lot more consistant damage. ASM damage profiles though need an overhaul

Did alright, managed to take out all the ships in one game. Thing is, they sea skim so high up even the missiles could hit them unlike other sea skimming missiles like the harpoon which literally licks the sea as it goes along.

May be worth a report if it could be set lower irl.

Same with the asm-1/2 and kormorans, they all sea skim like 100m up wich makes them real easy to intercept while the harpoon can sit 5m off the sea and be shot 70km away and never be intercepted.

Fix the sea skimming and i think the anti ships missiles would be in alot better spot.

Should be 10ft / 3m based upon this report, but the report covers something different to the terminal phase

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/ITNBGJdkdpQ8

So terminal phase would need to be reported

There was this report too, But it seems to was only partially fixed if the Sea Eagle is flying too high in Terminal phase

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/c9Nma18lpoWm

If that gets passed then sea eagles would be fine, infact i would want them on even more things like the GOD DAMN HARRIER.

Sorry, thats a marketing lie. The Harrier is bad therefore it cant have anything good or interesting

:P

I mean… The Harrier T.10’s payload sure looks good and interesting o-o

Its premium… We need a gr.5 in the tt to at least give us a harrier 2 with 9ls to use that isnt premium, same for the americans.

But still got all the harrier nerfs And the GR7 and T10 have artificially restricted loadouts

Are the Tonkas meant to have BOL pods? For some reason it clips through the flaps when extended

Yeah, their position needs to be corrected or something. But yes, they had BOL. Technically so should the GR1
